EPT Barcelona: Giuseppe Pantaleo is the new chip leader

Tags: ept barcelona, Giuseppe Pantaleo.
Posted on 26 November 2010 by "T".

The EPT Barcelona Main Event is now, after a very long day (Day 3) that finished about 2 hours ago, down to only 24 players. In the lead is Giuseppe Pantaleo, the German, from Bieledfield, who won the Sunday Warm-up during EPT Tallinn earlier this year. Pantaleo started Day 3 with a 622,500 stack and played fantastic poker from start to finish. Today, he will return with a 2.3 million stack, and if he plays as good as yesterday there is no doubt that he could win the tournament and lay hands on the first place prize of €825,000.

All the remaining players are guaranteed at least €20,000 each. The 9 players who make it to the final table are guaranteed to bring back home with them at least €50,000 each.

"Giuseppe Pantaleo, the German"???? He is Italian, am I wrong? I think that PokerStars has made a mistake with his nationality. Anyway, in fact, the second one is also an italian player, Alessandro Longobardi. I can see that there is good poker in Italy!

Pantaleo is a german guy, born from italian immigrant parents.

anyway there are 24 players left and three are italian and all in high positions of leaderboard.

poker is young here so it is a great result for us, and, fortunately, I still face lots of donks when playing on Italian pokerrooms Blink

If the german "from italy" won. Would the italians be happy? ^^
Anyway i miss italian players they were always good to play with.

Ok. I saw his unmistakable Italian name and his profile here http://www.pokerpages.com/player-profile/giuseppe-panta... and I thought it was wrong. Thanks for your information.

I personally very sorry that it was eliminated from the tournament Polish player Rado. Terribly bad luck was out: /. Disaster on the river: JJ vs. QQ, J on the flop ... Q on the river :////

Bad luck losing JJ against QQ??? He will lose 4 of 5 times with that hands. Maybe he was terribly lucky at first floping a J but this time maths didn't leave him

certainly meant that they are good for him, meaning they are fish .. which is partly true, but the Italian players are evolving rapidly, but some fish from other countries are donk now, and donk will be forever ..
