Eliaquim Mangala, Fernando (both Porto), Willy Caballero (Malaga) and Bacary Sagna (Arsenal) are the first team players being brought in. Also Frank Lampard is joining on a 6-months loan deal from the clubs affiliate club New York City. The move was very surprise with Lampard spending most of his career playing for Chelsea. The team has also managed to keep all their key players from last years winning squad.
Player profile:
After playing in a more defensive role during his Barcelona year Yaya Toure finally has been able to show of all his skills after joining Man City. Making goals, assists and other impressive displays last season the Ivorian international once again proved why he is on of the most complete midfielders in the world.
Summary:
Man City are the reign champions going into the season and are together with Chelsea the main favourites of winning the title. Can key players such as Aguero, Toure and Silva stay fresh there is nothing saying they can’t clinch a second consecutive title this year.
