What is the Benefit of Using a Casino Strategy Guide?

The house always wins, right? Wrong! There is a fundamental difference between short-term winnings and long-term winnings. Here's the good news for players: Short-term, anything is possible and this means that all those unflattering ‘Return to Player' statistics are simply that - numbers. Of course, if we evaluate the long-term performance of Slot Machine Games, Blackjack Games, Baccarat Games, Craps Games and Roulette Games, the numbers hold true. The broader implications of this ‘newfound' reality are startling: Anyone can win at any time.

Fortunately, players have taken the initiative in trying to unravel the great mystery of casino games like Blackjack, Roulette and Slots. Within each of these broad categories of games are simple strategies that can dramatically boost a player's winning chances.

Of all the games in the casino, Blackjack is the one that gets top billing as a strategy-based game. It's a numbers game, and while the player has no control over the cards that the dealer will flip over, it's easier to make informed decisions when you understand how the cards work. Simply put, Blackjack is played with a fixed number of cards. The rules of the game dictate that the dealer will typically draw to 16 and stand on all 17s. While there are many possible ways to go about compiling a winning hand, Blackjack strategy provides the guidance that is needed to win over the long-term. An impressive Blackjack strategy guide was inked by casino aficionado and mathematical expert, Henry Tamburin PhD. As one of the world's foremost experts on blackjack, he regularly speaks to players across the spectrum. His world-famous bestseller, Blackjack: Take the Money and Run has been featured prominently.

Why Are Blackjack Strategy Guides So Important to Players?

Blackjack strategy guides are effective because they explore the rules of the game, and seek out inventive ways of maximizing player opportunity, given the available constructs. This means that there are opportunities for players at every turn. Sometimes, a Blackjack strategy guide will highlight which variants of the game offer a better advantage to the player. A firm footing is needed to succeed in games of blackjack. This means that it's important to understand how to implement Basic Blackjack Strategy, with blackjack odds calculators and blackjack surrender strategy. You may find that it's better to cut your losses by knowing when to get out. Blackjack is typically played with anywhere between 1 and 4+ decks of cards. It's important to know what strategy to employ based on the number of decks that are being used. The near universal consensus among blackjack strategy experts is the following: Practice blackjack before you ante up for real. There is no single-best strategy to employ when playing blackjack, since some players play with their gut, and others play strictly according to the charts.

Of course, the long-term percentages hold true but most players are looking for short-term gains. In all cases, the goal is to reduce the house edge, thereby increasing the player's advantage over the dealer. There are many ways to gain an advantage, and they are unconventional. For example, casino bonuses, comps, coupons, and loss rebates are some of the most effective tools available to players to minimize expenditure while maximizing profitability. Your goal in games of blackjack is the following: Beat the Dealer's Hand without Exceeding 21. This means that your low hand could easily be a winning hand if the dealer busts. Your first order of business as a blackjack player is to check the minimum and maximum wagers, the number of decks in play, the rules of the blackjack game, payoffs (3:2 or 6:5), and the way the cards are shuffled. Armed with that information, you can improve your winning chances in the game.

Slots Strategy Guides Work Wonders

There is no winning strategy for slots games, right? Wrong! Slots games are about as varied as you can imagine. For starters, there are 3 reel slots, 5 reel slots, and progressive jackpot slots. Each of these variants can be divided further. The RTP in slots games is less favourable to players than the RTP in games of Blackjack. The reason for this is simple: Players simply deposit coins, pick paylines, and click the spin button. There is little strategy involved while playing slots games. However, with these games, slots strategy comes into play before you decide to play.

Each slot variant has a unique payout percentage, based on several factors. It has been found that classic slots, or fruit slots, with 3 spinning reels offer more frequent payouts than progressive jackpot slots with millions of dollars up for grabs. If you're a player looking for a slot game that pays out regularly, you may wish to try classic slots. Video slots typically feature 5 reels and scores of paylines. Sometimes they forgo paylines entirely and offer 243 ways to win. Whatever game you decide upon, it's important to maximize winning possibilities by playing games with a high RTP on maximum paylines at maximum wagers. That way, if the right symbols land on activated paylines, the maximum payouts will be awarded.

Counting cards is a rather difficult task .... and it needs to be done unnoticed for casino employees .... why is this a dishonest game .... but it seems to me that if a person can count that this is not an uncombed game but a skill

The blackjack grid for knowing when to be stastistically right about when to peel one more card or stand is indeed very usefull. I use it all the time when I play blackjack because I am still learning and sometimes the ev+ decision feels counter intuitive.

Blackjack is very similar to poker in the sense that it's a game of small margins. So optimizing your decisions as much as possible will make the diffenrece in the long run.

The best guide there is that the house always has the edge over you no matter what.
BTW where can I play that Freddy Krueger videoslot from the picture? It seems fun, especially for horror freak gamblers like me.

888 Casino has it pretty good slot with a jackpot feature free spins and bonus feature had some big wins with this slot cant remember if I am up or down if I was a slot expert then I would have to know the optimal time to hit the cash out button.

Thanks.
I played with some 'Psycho' themed slot a couple of times and it had footages from the Hitchcock movie - oh boy now that was a disturbing gambling experience...

Maybe alcohol will help some time in the game of blackjack but with a long game as it seems to me it will lead to a logical result - 0 ....... but if you make only a few games then there is a chance of winning Evil

You can count cards in a real casino where you can see the decks.
Well you can try at least with so many they have Smile
But in an online casino do you really think there is a limit on decks they are using? Smile

An expert casino guide? Whatever! Isn't it amazing that how the simple concept of gambling can lead to such a niche in the market. It's a bit like a ski guide to show you all round the mountain. Lord.... there's the mountain, there's the snow.....let's go and have a blast. Who needs someone to tell you what to do where and how to get back again. Do it yourself and have some fun learning.

 pochui20/03/2017 18:34:08 GMT
wow gerimantas dude, you probably are one heck of a player, maybe even what they call a blackjack guru? counting cards in a live game... this takes some skill, probably you were a math genius back in school days and now decided to make a living exploiting your hidden talents... just hope that casino security officers won't decide that snapping off your balls is the only way to prevent you from winning in the long term.
 dule-vu20/03/2017 20:30:48 GMT
I never liked roulette, live or online, because its silly for me to try to guess what number from 36 will come and even if I put on all 36,it would be 0 green Big Smile !few times in year I play blackjack online, when is some promotion or free chips, but only slots and video poker!

Yeah, you have to count them quite some time before you will know the table is getting hot... Not an easy task when alcohol is involved.

Not an easy task at all counting the cards
With alcohol or not involved.
How many can you memorize?
When casinos use eight decks of cards and they shuffle for example after five of them are done, not much you can do there, even with counting.
That was quite some time ago, so they may have changed their rules again in their favor Smile
 Gerimantas22/03/2017 12:59:08 GMT
Yes Mober, casino's don't like card counters, so they always do the actions to make them lose money. No need for memorize cards, you need to memorize the number of hi or low cardsnthat you seen and when the number is good for you raise bets, when bad make lower bets
 Mober24/03/2017 22:40:07 GMT
You need to pick the right table too.
Some times the players sitting on a specific table, may change the outcome completely.
And im talking on where they leave the dealer to stand when the open card for the dealer is a
bad one.
I have seen a couple of fights on a table, cause the last player, which is the key most of the times,
played the hand instead of leaving the dealer to burn Smile
 Gerimantas25/03/2017 21:59:39 GMT
Yes Mober i seen many fights as you say at the blackjack tables, most often often when some younger players are playing and they are drinking a lot and when they start losing money they do all sorts of things, start playing badly and saynthat other people at table play bad, cursing , and sometimes security kicks them out of casino Big Smile
 Mober25/03/2017 22:42:47 GMT
I think the only game in a casino where you cant see a fight is roulette.
In all others i have see fights, or incidents if you like.
Even in slots where someone would thing its not possible, there are many of them Smile
When people want to "hold" the slot they were playing.
They put all sorts of crap onto the slot, drinks, smokes and stuff and they leave.
And they think they can hold that slot forever Smile
Even casino staff do a "cleanup" in some occasions Smile picking everything to free the slots.

Cardcounting is not about memorizing the cards, they just give each card a frequent value and keep track when this value changes each time a card is getting dealed. Any Average Joe capable doing it after a week or two practice, most people rather have problem with the addition/subtraction part of the whole thing since math classes in school ain't what they used to be...
 Tony_MON7ANA26/03/2017 13:38:51 GMT
Some people probably can memorize what cards have been dealt at single-deck blackjack (52 cards) or double-deck blackjack (104 cards) table in brick and mortar or online live casino. Simplified cardcounting system come in handy when playing 4 to 8-deck games, I guess.
 pochui26/03/2017 19:34:59 GMT
ah well i've seen these card counters at the bj tables, at least once in a while new faces come up and think that they will own the game and casino big time, but in reality once pit bosses spot that person is card counting (or at least suspecting that he does) out of the blue the shoe is being split by half, and the shuffling/reshuffling becomes oh so frequent...
 Mober26/03/2017 23:40:54 GMT
Exactly. There are no rules on the game, as to how many decks they will use
and when they will shuffle. You see the game changing midway and wonder why?
And that the reason pochui mentioned.
Some casinos use machines to shuffle, so after every game they just throw the deck
into the machine and get a new one.
 Gerimantas27/03/2017 08:21:08 GMT
Yes I to see this situation when playing blackjack with friends, if casino starts to think someone is card counting we see the game stops bery soon and then the dealer mixes all cards ince again, it is very stupid, we wait for game to start for 5-10 minutes andnthrn only play same 5-10 minutes to wait again, i go to roulette if this is the situation
 Tony_MON7ANA28/03/2017 15:31:42 GMT
I've just had a hell of a ride. A 5-hour non-stop live blackjack session. There were so many ups and downs. I almost blew all of money I had on PartyPoker. Luckily, I ended the session with a profit of $47 after having wagered over $1,500. Phew, I think I need some sleep.
