Admiral, a sports betting subsidiary of Novomatic, has just opened the largest betting shop in Europe called the "Admiral Arena Prater", which is located in Vienna's ‘Viennese Prater' amusement park.
Novomatic (creator of Book of Ra, Lucky Lady's Charm and many more popular slots) management states that its Arena Prater Sportsbar shall be providing the ‘next level in sports betting and entertainment'.
On May 1 which was its scheduled launch party, around 3,500+ guests attended, and Novomatic officially opened the doors of Arena Prater with Novomatic AG CEO Harald Neumann along with Austrian F1 Legend and company ambassador Niki Lauda who cut the ribbon.
A two-storey structure, the Arena Prater covers an amazing total area of 1,350 square meters.
Some of the décor shows autographed t-shirts of the most important teams in Vienna (Rapid Vienna and Austria Vienna) and also the national women's football team.
The place which has been specially themed with an American sports bar design shall be home to more than 70 betting terminals and a massive 42-square meter "LED Wall" that will show sports-related broadcasts throughout the day.
Exclusively developed by Novomatic's software team, the LED wall can also be split into a mosaic, showing many different screens. Novomatic CEO Harald Neumann said, "This means that, for instance, all Champions League games playing at the same time can be broadcast together - this broadcasting possibility is unique in Europe."
Open hours are from 9 am until midnight every day, the ADMIRAL has made additional special entertainment perks for its Prater customers including a ‘Red Bull Racing Seat' HD simulation game. The Admiral Sportsbar offers a wide array of food selections of ‘US classics' and ‘Austrian delights'.
ADMIRAL Sportwetten was launched in 1991 and this Novomatic subsidiary now operates in over 250 branches. The company provides jobs to 1,200+ employees in Austria.
