Hey guys I know there are many grinders out there trying to build a roll from $10-50. So I thought instead of having a trillion status threads we could have this common status thread(those who wants their own are ofcourse allowed to post in this thread too ). Besides it could make us competetive and give us drive to do the grind, other than that it would also be encouraging for newcommers to see what other mobsters made from $10 and how long it took.
I have build several bankrolls through my "poker career" some from freerolls but most from no deposit bonus'. I now got a decent bankroll that I grind a living from so my challenge will run on the sideline. I still like building from the buttom(n) Maybe it's the "from cero to hero" fact I like, actually don't know but the challenge is great every time and it makes me a disciplined player cause I suddenly have to respect 18 cent bets
Sorry it got a bit long....now to the first status:
Started the 8th or 9th Oct. on BigBetPoker while waiting for the $10 bonus I played a few(read a TON) 10 cent HORSE freeroll S&G's which got me to $3,5. Then I received the $10 bonus and started grinding NL4 with 3,5BI(not recommended if the free bankroll is important to you, instead do the 10 cent S&G's + HORSE freerolls if you are at BBP). I had a really rough start at NL4 both variance and adjusting wise and got down to $4 so I was actually playing with 1BI I finally got my s**t together and started gaining slowly.
Status: $31.99 and 107.73 points
Btw my status updates will be short with a few words on how it's going and ofcourse the status
Hello M3turbo, congrats on turning your initial $10 into something other than busting out like alot of people do with NDB's. I am writing in here to see what tips/advice you could give me to help speed up the process of bankroll building. I've picked up some neat little tricks from others here at BRM just from reading/posting in the forums. I'm currently at Cake and Mansion. At Cake I am using the deposit bonus along with rakeback. At Mansion, I got the NDB and have earned the 3k MCP's needed in order to withdraw. So what I plan on doing at Mansion is pulling out $50 everytime I reach a little over $100. That way I pull out the profit and play off the NDB funds only. So any down swings won't reflect profit and I can deposit it into another site (looking at going to BBP) and use a first time deposit bonus along with rakeback. Another thing, I am strictly just grinding it out at NL/FL full ring games. I see alot of people talking about DON's/SnG's for building bankrolls. Any tips/strategy you can give?? Thx

I like your idea!. Although I'm currently playing mainly at Mansion I want to start a new bankroll from the $10 ND bonus soon. My plan is to end with Mansion soon and to start playing at bigbet full time. My bank is $14 at the moment and my idea is to play $1 DON until my bank be enough to play cash or S&G of higher buy-ins.

Yeah, I've been playing a little a BBP (going to do the promo later), and got my 10 bucks up to 47, with just DoN:s. Mostly 3 $, some 5 $ and in the beginning 1 $. I haven't been playing much at all.
So, I think if you start with a small amount, maybe Don:s is the sh*t. Takes time, but seems quite riksfree.
Edit: If you know what you are doing, that is. I myself barely know.

Hey guys im glad too see you joined, don't forget clear status in buttom of post so it will be easy to follow each others progress
@ih8usukouts
Let's try to keep this a status thread if you make a "Tips for building bankrolls" thread I will be glad to answer any questions you got but I can say allready there are no shortcuts to building a roll unless you can win a big tour(rakeback and bonus' ofcorse). Bankrollmanagement and discipline are the keywords imo.
Status:
Had a decent night session although my AA got cracked and I was too stubbard to fold I flopped a set that saved buttom line for this session. Im in SB with 66, CO ISO raise UTG limper, Btn call, I call, BB fold and UTG fold. Flop Ah4h6 I go for the CR, CO pot, Btn shove like 40BB I shove 100+BB, CO shove 100BB+.
Sounds good M3turbo, I will create one. This way other members can give input and ideas for others to learn from. ---- In a bit tho, have to pick up the little one from school so will do it a little later.

Well, TBH I miss omaha soo much im not commiting to BBP, think this thread relates to it most of all. Ill jump in and out now and then with some stats. $75.54 with 89.81 points created 9/30/2009 (but have had a b-day spent too much time in pubs recently) Its been a long time since i did grinding or play such low limits, no dout it will be all gone soon. Last grind I did got up to $120+ and wasted it in the casino. This thread is for all to jump in and out of??

Sure B1gfoot, no site or level requirements. Just a thread where we can follow each others progress or downfall and learn from it. I know you are just gambling for the fun of it since you probably got a decent roll, but newcommers that doesn't will also be able to learn from this

Hi looking forward to following this thread as i too am doing some grinding trying to build the Big bet $10 bankroll, just reached $20+a few cents only 32 points though, so good bit to go to get the next bonus. played a few $1 and $2 DONs plus $2 bounty hunters, like this game dont have to win just knock 2 players out, Now that i have $20 plan is keep playing $2 bounty or DON, But if i drop below $15 back to $1 and below $10 low stg like 50c or 20c. Will also for variety play 1c 2c nlh cash table and buy in for $2.50 ............. The only big problem I have though is my computer its really going slow these days and i can only play 2 tables or else the program crashes and even at that it struggles with two. On other sites i have free bankroll like Pacific poker i can only play 1 table if i play two it puts me in sit out, So i have put these on hold until i get a new laptop, plan is to get one by the middle of November, cant wait ........... then i can play a lot more tables without the computer crashing, and speed things up. But it is hard being disciplined and grinding away, im not used to it but I know in the long run I will benefit from doing it. Anyway looking forward to hearing how everyone dose or has done, and picking up some tips from the experienced bankroll builders.

My update played $2 Don won then $2 bounty won that too plus $3 for bountys So now have just over $27 But only 35.7 points, But the more $ gives me a bit more confidence in clearing this bonus. only get about a hour or two at most to play during the week, usually a hour so roll on weekend when I get to play more ............... Have to say though the bounty hunter was pure enjoyment, a really good game Also not really connected to this thread as no points or $ to help bankroll.. used a token for the World Poker Showdown we got free, and won that tourney as well tonight so now into round TWO looking forward to playing that ....... probably leave it till the weekend before I use it as I will have more time to play it then.

i started with the 20$ ndp on titan, ran it up to over 2000$ but then went on a s**t spree and ended up cashing out 600$ ... thenwith all the points i accumulated i purchased 150$ cash from the titan store, quickly lost 90 of it then won a freezeout for over 700$ my bankroll is now at 1700$ cuz i won another couple freezeouts lately and made a bunch of final tables. my suggestion if you are just starting out. play heads up for 1-5 $ until u get a roll to start playing MTTs. i find online HU players to be exceptionally bad. good luck all
