global warming has been proved to be wrong and we all had the wool pulled over our eyes.after the dodgy email,wrong data and everything else,how can we ever trust scientists to tell the truth.basically it comes down to governments,our big super powers trying to stay on top of third world countries by limiting carbon emmissions so they cant rise up in the world.which poses a threat to there economies.i fell dissapointed.now if only we can prove that a man DID land on the moon.

Its better than that scl1975, the date with slight ajustments look like its saying we are going in to a global freeze or ice age if you like. For thoses unaware, the date was coming from boxes placed around the world, but as time changes so does its environment, half the boxes ended up being on airports, behing buildings next to genarators etc etc, all the data is screwd up, the boxes have been getting heat from its new surroundings. We are lucky that we have been around for so long, humans have held of an ice age for many years now, but nature will take all back.

Global warming hasn't been the buzz phrase for quite some time now. It's all about climate change and we can see the evidence of this. Climate change will in fact lead to more extreme weather in the UK since rising sea levels will divert the gulf stream which brings warm air to the UK actually on the same latitude as russia and canada. We will therefore get warmer summers and colder winters, whether that's a bad thing you decide.
The effect of climate change has been debated and the answer is as varied as you'd expect for something that is basically a hundred years weather forecast. It's no good blaming science for this since the science world was never unanimous. I've heard some very intelligent people argue that it's all nonsense and others argue exactly the opposite.
When I was in sitting my A levels I had two Geography teachers both of who's views I respected but had different opinions when it came to climate change. I was taught by one that climate change is a natural, uncontrollable phenomenon and we are in fact overdue for an ice age.
But regardless of whether climate change is the fault of man, and I'm very skeptical about it, there are plenty of reasons to seek out alternatives for energy. Burning fossil fuels is not sustainable and we will run out of oil. There is a lot of profit in recycling waste and being green has many more proven advantages.
Of course the green debate today is simply a political tool, something for the government to use to distract us from it's incompetence and like most news-fueled epidemics it is an ideology for controlling the masses.

@awood88, climate chang is a better way of putting it, because thats all it is. I dont think there is a debate over if we caused it, as its a fact that we have. If man did not start faming the land many many moons ago you can bet your ass earth would be frozen solid.
As for turning green,yes I think its a must, outherwise we will see true global warming, but we need to keep a fine balance because we are messing with nature and have been for a long time.

Actually, many of them do, and it explains alot just as infinity does. There are ways to prove and disprove science, God is a subject that they can not disprove however it looks very likely that we started with a big bang followed by inflation (IMO). And ofcause we have been to the moon, how do you think we found out were Elvis has been hiding?

Well with all the recent events a say it is more than logical that our planet is under danger. If you take in to consideration the last 2 years and see the latest earth disasters you can draw a conclusion out of that. The latest earthquakes have a profound effect over the whole planetary climate and it is cooled by several degrees so i say the were right but those disasters cooled the situation a bit. If an super-volcano erupted would be even worse with more than a decade of frost and ashes all over the world... so read more and think even more..

a great movie to watch is "the great global warming swindle" look up some of the information in the movie yourself you will see it's all true and yes we have been lied to about this and much much more. A great place for a typical sheeple to start is maybe with a movie like terror storm or for all you Americans "freedom to fascism" all free on google video and hey when you are done with freedom to fascism go ahead try and find the law that states you have to pay taxes to the government on labor...this is the greatest lie told to the American people next to the bible...there is no law in fact there are sites that offer as much as 1million to find the law that states you must pay these taxes...OH YES IRS agents have searched for years while working for the government and end up quitting because there is no law...there is a bunch of stuff written as to what the government will do if you don't pay but there is NO LAW!!!go look if ya find it post it LMAO...

@911insidejob id have to search, but its well know that Earth goes through cycles, we should now be in an ice age, in fact if im to be pedantic we never left the last one. It all starts when we started farming land, burning fields rerouting water pumping gases in the air etc etc. The problem with takling about stuff like this is PPL close down vision and only think of the last 100 years or so, it started a long time before then. Yes the GOV want to make $ from it all, but that does not make it a conspiricy, they used data from corrupt readings, hence this thread. The UK is actually colder now, not warmer as the results suggested. But to call PPL sheeple for seeing what us humans are doing to Earth is unfair, there are only 2 real sides to this, to be on either can class you as sheeple.
I think you missed the point of the thread, and overlooked my comments, If you dont think Humans are/have and continue to have no effect on earth then keep reading them conspiricy books. But seams as we have had no effect to Earth, could you explain how we have dodged an ice age.

how are you or our children going to stop global warming???by paying a tax on a tv when you buy it so it can be recycled or how about paying a tax every mile you drive in the name of man made global warming oh yes coming soon to a Country near you RESEARCH IT. How can you stop that which we didn't cause???do some research for example the ice core samples Gore talks of in his movie...Why is it every article or book I read or video I watch that is NOT linked to government in anyway tells me that the earths tempeture rises and carbon follows this the complete opposite of what Gore will have you believe AL GORE the same man that claims he invented the internet hahaha when the US military was using this tecnology decades ago...

:} Its good you free think, im a bit that way myself, but to me it seams you wrap too much Gov in to your debates, Earth is undergoing changes due to man, you dont think that bottle makes a diffrence, ok it will end up in the sea (a guess) for it to be broken up by UV, it will then sink making a layer of plastic on our sea beds. We have drastically re shaped Earthh in every way possable, fighting nature all the way. Nature will want to take it back.

who is telling you all these things about man made global warming???GOVERNMENT or organizations linked to government you must go outside government to find the truth. I was looking at a site a while back, ill try find the link for you, (looked b4 but couldent remember) Its a science site, that covers everything, including conspiricys etc. It was there were I read about the placement of "weather boxs" For me its not about "global warming" a coind word, but about the fact that we have had a huge effect and need to stop befor the fine balance is toppled, ill be long dead by then.
Im with you on that, Gov is the biggest danger to us ATM, but only US not EARTH. And if we do go to far it will be to late.

regarding global warming i agree to 90% with your post 911insidejob, i dont think there is anyhting we can do. the earth will be fine and always has been it just concern the menkind. but there is things we can do what concern our living enviroment, like contaminated river, sea and earth etc <- by that i dont mean what a single person could do.
