Scotty Nguyen, 47, the ex-WSOP CHAMP, doesn't need any closer presentation as he has been a "regular" in the poker headlines (for many different reasons) for many, many years. There has been so much things going on in his life that many have asked themselves why he never writes a book about it?
Well, maybe we don't have to wait so much longer before there is a book in the stores. Scotty has just[...] Read more » Scotty Nguyen: "I need an author, baby!"

Bahhh any guy can write a book this days. Even a lame poker player. I dont think that his biography will be a interesting subject. What the f*ck he will tell us? When he bought a ferrari with some crazy cash that he earns from a poker tournament? When he bought that stupid sun glasses? i just dont like this guys who think that his life is too excited and interesting. "I'm ready baby"?!!? this guy looks like ridiculous and probably his book will looks like same. No doubt about great poker player but nothing more interesting in that man. There are a lot of great poker books that offer something interesting to fans of this game but certainly this will not be one of those. I will wait to see this great "Best seller" goes to crap

scotty is a real icon in poker.....well maybe he was but he still hase a good game to offer. I think a book will be quite interesting actually as he normally has a lot to say, so it might make an interesting read. even if its about his life and not the poker side!

The thing most people dont see is that Scotty wont be writting this for $, its for his fans, he wil even want a fan to write it, Iv a lot of recpect for him and have had a few nice PMs from the guy, lots of time for us little guys, a lot more than can be said for most "celeb" poker players. Im sure he has a lot to tell and I for one will be reading it baby!

You said it - his fan will be writing it .
If i read a book, like Gus's "every hand revealed" or Doyles "50 gmost memorable hands" - then I read it with pleasure, as the author is the one who played those hands and speaks thru his experience.
Now what fun can I have reading a DRY BOOK written by some fan? I can just open wikipedia and read all about Scotty from there also.
imo - total b******t and id rather read wikipedia based on facts rather than some observer opinion.
Theres a big diference wether you direct a movie about someone, or write autobiography book, very big difference.
I think Scotty is a massive player and I always enjoy his plays, but to come up with such idea is bs. Thatswhy I thuoght he must of been on drinking session while he wrote it to twitter.

I'll bet he has some stories to tell thats for sure. I've heard snippets of his earlier days and I'll bet his start in poker had some dangerous encounters.
