Here's what you need to do. Make sure to do the exact opposite of what I am doing. For just $120, I will give you the Secret. Make up to 60 BB/hr.

I'm pretty new at reading graphs and stuff, but do I understand it correctly, that you have played about 2200 hands, losing like 15 $?

IMHO that is not losing money, it's more like losing time. Unless you had fun playing, then it is a decent cost for some hours of fun.

Or maybe I just missunderstood everything? Maybe I should pay you 120$?

Now I'm quite insecure of what to do...

Yeh -you read it right. About -$13 I suppose, $15 was the lowest point.

However - I must disagree in you saying - high cost of time @ 2200 hands - plenty of people (like me) can play this many and end up down a lot more than that. So as far as playing poker goes - it's basically breaking even - and if you consider the rake paid on 2200 hands - he's prob actually a winning player overall.. So +/- $20 (break even just about) over 2200 hands isn't bad - keep practising till you're making money.

If all you're losing after 2000+ hands is time then you're doing pretty good and it is a fun hobby. Bonus if you can turn a decent profit too of course.

Great stats man, dont keep it up! Smile

@supererou, you need a program like pokertracker 3 or holdem manager.

HoldemManager - costs about 100$ and is a big help for playing cash-games. Also advisable is PokerTracker3, but i prefer HoldemManager, because it's not slowing down the performance of your computer like PokerTracker.

I don't know if I misunderstood you Jess, but what I meant was, that it was a lot of hands and not much happening in with the money, which is, as you write, probably actually playing over average, with the rake and all. (So what he lost was not money, but his time.)

I, however, do not lose money. Except meybe on certain sessions, when I have been drinking cleaningproducts all night. :O But during the weeks I get that back.

Never made a graph, since I don't have the software, but it would be quite fun pinpointing the weekends. Big Smile

@ swissradius. What levels are you playing at?

What I mean Pjot - is although obviously people can make money from poker, as you yourself do. However, it's also played for the enjoyment of the game, however in saying that, many people (most people who play in fact) actually lose money over a course of time, whilst playing poker.. So if you can have fun playing poker and also NOT be losing money (even if you're not winning) then that's still pretty good - because you're getting free entertainment.. Unlike going to a movie - you "lose" an hour and a half of time as you put it and you also lose $15.

------------
I'd like to know what levels too.. surely not very high (nl4c?) because after 2200 hands to be more or less where you started give or take $15, and the graph shows no big swings beyond this either.. surely can't be very high stakes.

You got that one right sir!

I'm the creepy guy in the neighbourhood. The one their calling the cops about, but they can't really nail him on anything, since he hasn't done anything yet. But he looks like he will. Any second now... :O

Just flip the pic around, problem solved.
"For just $120, I will give you the Secret. Make up to 60 BB/hr."

I made sure to do the exact opposite of what you were doing.
So I know the secret now, can I have my $120

A graph from my last venture (cashed out now, bonus ran out) 30 days sucks.

So 2,200 hands, -$15, 30 days? what stakes? And what's that about telling your secret? A joke I guess. Well, even if rake makes a winning there, he will have a hard time going higher in stakes.
