Complete madness. Some people really don't know what to do with all their money. A single $100k tourney is expensive, but a serie of 6 those tourneys is just ridiculous.

We should start a poll and vote or bet or something on which pro will win this. not sure if Negreanu has entered the cup, but if he did, he would be my choice

I don't believe there will be many players in this Cup. Looks like something nice to watch on the tv, but EXTREMELY TOO MUCH RISKY to decide wether or not change the bank loan for the house and car to a normal loan just to enter it!

Well if i did managed to qualify, it would be difficult not cash in your entry in tournement$. If you have a 300K entry(not a tourneyticket), would u play for it, or keep 300K T$ ? U would have to be a brave man

Can't argue with Jazz. For me though, it just heightens the fantasy of a deep run with all the marbles on the line! I didn't get into poker for the academics, that's just gravy. If my motivation for excellence ever stops at a certain number, say, or anything surreal BECAUSE it's surreal, then it's time for me to find another reason to play or give it up entirely. I think it's FUN! What do you think a busboy making $1.38/hr in '72 thought about a $250,000 purse? What do you reckon he'd say about fifteen Mill in weekly payout? Or $50 Billion (with a B) per annum? Nothing. He wouldn't understand it. So, now it's our turn. I love it. It doesn't hurt that I've won two Onyx Cup- round 2 tkts, does it?

I accept all stakes, donations, et al., as long as return is not expected. Unfortunately, I have not as yet put two decent runs end-to-end. Gotta start somewhere. Good felt to you, Sapaducy. play tight, but play
