Hey out there, here is my experience from yesterday with a German freeroll qualifier tournament for the spring million tournament on Party Poker. It is a speed tournament (5min blind raises), about 800 participated, the first ten players will get entry to a sattelite qualifier tournament to the spring million tournament.
During the first hour I tried to play very tight and it worked. I slightly build up my stake and always was somewhat around the average stake. After that I found a spot with AA and doubeld my stake so I was around 70th place of 300 remaining players. Few minutes later - lucky as I was - I picked up AA again and I played it slow from early position (limped in). One player raised behind me and another one called this raise so I went AllIn after them. Both of them called my All In. What should I say... at the end I found myself with a trippeld up stake to be the chipleader of the tournament (I guess about 100 players left). At this time I was getting a little bit nervous of how I should go on with this situation, because this was totally new to me Well I tried it with further tight playing, no limping/calling just to save chips, because blinds were getting very high. Playing like this I stayed under top ten players until 20 players on 2 tables were left in the tournament. I kept my tight playing to save my chips, because the only goal was to stay under the top ten for the qualifier ticket. 2 or 3 times I made a blind steal and it worked. It took ages (to me) until the field was down to 11 players and then nearly another 10 minutes until the last opponent went out and I finished in 4th place. It was a great experience to me and a lot of fun.
So I will now try my luck in the sattelite qualifier tommorrow evening, but think I will have now chance to win a ticket for the million dollar tournament (again only first ten places will get entry) because of a lot more better players in there. But it will be further interesting experience to me for sure. Greetings !

Hey, great that an other mobster is in it - Anyone else from here ? Maybe we will meet at the table or we can post here how we are proceeding in the tournament.
@BMW: Yeah, chance is very low and I had a lot of luck. But for me it just was a try, because I found no other intersting tournament yesterday evening.

Gl with qualifying, hope u make it. I'll try to qualify trough low buy-inn satelite's, if i play the western-europe qualifier i would have slim chances, way to big a playersfield

Hm, I had no thoughts about selling this ticket, but I think that it is not possible. I am not very familiar with this, but I never heard about the possibility to sell tickets on Party Poker. Maybe someone else knows it definitly !?

Nice one MIGO!
I still have a ticket for the "Special" on fridays, but don´t know if I can play tomorrow. The MM special is definitely tougher than the first qualifier. After all a top 10 place is worth $640. I definitely wish you some very needed good luck in that one!

It´s a big field, but definitely doable. I played those when I first started on Party, and got 6-7 tickets. The hard part is making the back to back top 10 in both qualifiers to get your Monthly Million ticket.
I did it once and played the Monthly Million once. I got JJ 3x in that one on some bad boards, and that really destroyed my stack. Once you´re down, the sharks feast on you. Never made it back up, so I missed the money. ($1.200 minimum)
Definitely worth a shot if you play tight like in the FT freerolls, and (a bit) more agressive in the Special.

Can´t "sell" them unfortunately, I checked. Wanted to sell my $640 MM ticket, I could have used the bankroll back then. But no, you can´t "trade" tickets in any way.

I played one too, not the german, and i also made very well during the first two hours, hanging on in the middle of the classification. Then i hit an Ace with a low pair and things got shaky, and after that i lost to three of a kind 2's, with AK in the hand and AK flop. I only moved all-in in the turn, when a 2 came to table and, of course, i got a call and move on out of there. Bad luck hein? Maybe next time i will do better. See you there today. Extreme big fields are a bit crazy, but nice for passing time.

Hm Fakiry, that was bad luck. For sure I would have been busted out too on this constellation. Wish you better luck next time.
@Jack: Thanks ! For sure I expect a much tougher competition tommorow evening. And I am absolutely not expecting to make the FinalTable there out of about 800 opponents. But nevertheless I hope it will be a nice experience and I can learn and improve a little bit my poker.
