Hey there always looking for good shows to watch while playing some cards. My personal 3 favorite shows would have to be The sopranos, Oz and Curb your enthusiasm. What do you card sharks like to listen to while gaming?

Music is the key to calm nerves. How I like to play. Sometimes during the evening I will watch TV with the wife and kids. Depends on what and how important the tourney is...

i personally think that its no good for u to consentrate on something else while playing(espesially no TV ). nevertheless music have been preferrable during a poker game.

I watch tv and play poker all the time. so much it's got to the point where neither hold my interest on their own. If I'm watching a tv program I have to do something else at the same time. But I'll only play an mtt which doesn't always require 100% attention. And if an important hand does come up I'll pause the TV program to concentrate.
The kind of program I'll watch with poker are comedies, panel shows and documentaries. Very typical british TV. But if I'm watching a good drama I'll give it my full attention like watching a film. There's loads of good shows but right now I love Dexter, True Blood, Shameless, Doctor Who, Skins and I've just started watching Battlestar galactica.

When I am playing I am not able to focus on the television, and since I started mutlitabling I usually prefer absolute silence, so tell your dog to STOP BARKING!
Seriously though, my favourite shows of all time: Seinfeld, King of Queens, Cheers, and a lot of programs dealing with history, biographies, engineering, archaeology, paleontology.

im watching to tv wen i playing poker my favorits are House,SG-U,NCIS ,CIS,and Spartacus but the last season had only 6 episodes i heard the main actor hows playing spartacus has cancer hope he will get well son i love this show ah i forgget ther is a new one is called the Borgias wery good pilot episode .

mahdrof, if you like Seinfield youll love curb your enthusiasm, its all about larry david ( the guy who invented Seinfield ) and a bunch of ironic/unlucky encounters he has with people, hilarious show

There are a lot of shows that i like. If we talk about TV shows i really like the majority of productions from Discovery Channel, National Geographic and Animal Planet. At Discovery Channel i enjoy watching Top Gear and Fifth Gear as car shows and i also like Mythbusters and Gold Rush Alaska plus The Deadliest Catch. On animal Planet i like Animal Preciant and Caesar and the dogs. As TV serials i like The Soparanos, Stargate(SG-1, Atlantis, Universe) and Flash Forward(too bad they stopped producing it). Too bad this thread didn't was available for movies too, i had a potential huge list...

Oh yeah, so many great movies out there. I also like the history channel they have some good shows I find Pawn Stars interesting, and Storage wars on A&E. Makes me want to get into those businesses

I dont watch TV when playing, it can be on but im not watching..unless its a film but then i concentrate less playing so normally in a SnG or a DoN. I miss whos line is it anyway, the word, Ideal was friggin awsome hope ther is more to come...Eastenders and holloaks are my TV sins.

The only thing I care to watch while playing poker (actually listening to) is if there is a NASCAR race. I will play a CD sometimes, but lately like to focus on my game. I've actually only been playing 1 or 2 games as to I used to play up to 5 or 6. I've found myself doing a little better when focusing on the game. Learning players, not making fast decision or finding myself dazed /confused. Good Luck to All!

I always have the tv on but i am not able to watch, i like multi-tabling. I love the soprano's but saw everything allready. Music is also nice during poker ofcourse.

I prefer Seinfeld, although I do enjoy Curb.. I just find it a bit difficult/painful to watch too many episodes of curb in a row.. Too much cringing at Larry David, he is a funny dude though.

Hmmm, one more that I forgot: Magnum PI! This was big when I was in my early teens and I loved this show. The guy lives on an estate in paradise (Hawaii) in return for doing the odd work, is a private investigator, drives a Ferrari (which isn't even his!), has awsome looking women on the show with whom he normally links up with, a buddy with a helicopter company and another one with underworld connections. WTF!
