The impact of the US- crisis is allready noticable! Way less players in the tournements, the gaurantees are cut down, almost all of them. But still a lot of tourneys had plenty overlay, the gauranteed prizepool was rarely met. FT is starting FTOPS this sunday, the gauranteed prizepool is still the same !! Starting tomorrow the FTOPS event 1, 3.000.000.000 gauranteed still! Without US-players the prizepool will never reach 3 million. I hope u US-players return soon , eventhough the overlay is nice

You know some may not like this comment, but sites like FT, PS and Absolute need the U.S. support to keep their status at the level they're at. Also, we all complain about the Russians and without them and the U.S. there's just not enough $$ to support these bigger sites. Yes they will survive, but watch the prizepools go down. That's why this will be resolved and we'll all be happy poker players again! Good Luck to You All!

its just like what happened when party stopped taking US players. traffic gonna fall big time and so the games are bound to suffer. hope cake and merge dont get in legal trouble too, their major player base is from US and with already few players on their site it will be a huge blow to them

I realize the US-players are needed and i really hope there will be a solution, maybe US-government gets their slice of the cake and online poker will be legalized in the US and y'all be happy again, Green.
Yep you're right SuperNoob, its gonna be like PP again, haven't noticed any changes yet on Players Only( Cake-network) but i"ll probably will

Man, I'm in the process of withdrawing all my funds from Stars "just in case" but I may reconsider if those prize pools don't change. I like and easy shot at big prize pools just as much as the next guy.
Hey Jazzy, what's the buy in on that FTOPS tournament? Hopefully within my range.

I don't think anyone is every arguing anything other than that.
Posted by JazzyJeff: Almost all the gaurantees are reduced exept for FTOPS! Anyone playing in FTOPS-event 1 ? I am
Hahahaha yeah you should play the FTOPS events and take that HUGE advantage of not having the US players in and probably also the advantage of not having the guarantees reduced as it's probably going to be the last ever FTOPS events you'll see in your life if the US players can't be back there... gl
The highstakes games on full tilt do not happen in the last few days without the american highstakes players. They ran the highstakes games in the past and without them there seems to be no more highstakes game.
But it can be that the other highstakes players stopped playing because they dont know what will happen with their millions of dollars in the future.
I dont want to be jungleman12, urindanger or urnotindanger2 who has more than a million dollars in their account and cant withdraw the money

I noticed a huge difference in the Canadian freeroll last night. Not we as Canadians are not effected by this. But we normally get 2000+ in our freeroll. Last night we only had 417 total. Yeah, 417 unbelievable. On the other hand, was not allowed to sign up for tonights freeroll. Kept getting an error page, saying that the certificate issued for that web page was for another site. I haven't tried to sign up yet this morning. Will give it a go here in a bit. How long before the rest of the poker sites dump American players..... Well I just checked again and tried to register, this is what I got:
There is a problem with this website's security certificate.

For more information, see "Certificate Errors" in Internet Explorer Help. Now I have never ever got this error from FTP site. I did continue on and did register. But this does worry me a little. Being a Network Manager by trade, this can only get worse. Seems to me like, the American Gov may be screwing with their site.....

Yep starting today they also cut the guarantees on the FTOPS-serie, i was wondering about that, the FTOPS event 1 is reduced from 3 million to 1 million guaranteed and the buy-inn is 200+16$, Arithmajik, i hope you can join tonight. I hope it isen't the last FTOPS-serie, Calmplay, and starting today the advantage of overlay seems reduced as well. And yes highstakes games are off, Onyx-cup is cancelled: We need the US pokerplayers! Comeback pleaaassseee I don't think Canadian players will be affected in any way (you have to use a different link to access your FT-account, Fossilman). As to BMW-man: I think this is because they changed website-address and the old one isen't secure anymore. In order to keep your account safe you better download FT from their new website-address, but u probably know more than me about that stuff. Gio, i hope this will be cleared in court soon, you're right: with all this poker is a little less fun for everybody, especcially US-players offcourse

i agree with u there greeny a large % of online poker players are american as i said in BMWmans thread all the gov are interested in is money. the poker site will pay the taxes cuz they will lose alot of money without u.s players. they will probz lose more money from there being no americans than they will from any taxes.

you can see the impact everywhere in FT from tourneys like BRM' freerolls or the FT frerolls that they dont fill up. in micro omaha h/l there were at least 5-6 tables during the most time of the time. now you cant find 1-2 full
