Now thats one hard question to answer. Of course you can find very good players on all countries but you need to realize that different countries have different style of play and of course thi way they have a good game or not. Nordic players, i mean sweden, finland and norway are very aggressive but not very loose and of course there are exceptions but not i'm say in general. Russian players are tight aggressive and are very good players in general and they always seem to make nice profits at the poker tables. Then there are the players from the western europe from countries like germany, england, france that are very tight and usually only play with very good hands, and they are nice to play with in general. A special place is dedicated to latin players from spain, portugal and brazil plus countries in south america like chile, argentina. They are simply waayy too loose, i mean they bluff on each hand, and they don't respect bankroll management. It's difficult to play against them but you got the nerve you can basically get all their moneys.

First of all uk players are the worst. They go bananas
Second, you'll find a decent amount of lottery eastern european players who don't have a clue about poker but also a small part who play solid weak-tight poker. Then comes the italian, spanish or their south-american brothers from argentina, colombia etc who play an agressive maniac style. About western and central european players I didn't notice anything in particular. Last are the nordic and german players who are probably the most solid of all.
Of course, this is just my opinion based on my personal observations. It might sound discriminatory but nobody should feel insulted. Each place around the world has its bad and good players.

I think there are good and bad players, aggro and non-aggro from most countries, but the one thing I noticed is that often (not always) players from France will not have good starting hand selection. They will call with say J-8o, hit J on the flop and think high card with 8 kicker is worth taking to the river. My favourite players are those on mega-tilt, regardless of where they come from!

I have a very limited experience against france players but from what i've seen so far they are okay, they aren't loose at all. Of course there are always good and bad players from a country but they are good players in general. Yesterday i was at a pot limit omaha on full tilt poker, it was a 6 max table and there were only nordic players. So it was me, two players from sweden, one from finland, and two from norway. I really enjouyed the table, i mean yes nordic players are aggressive but they know the game really good. As i said before i really like the nordic style of play. On the other hand there are the players from latin countries like portugal, spain and south america like brazil or argentina, they are pure gamblers and there is basically no logic in their game. The funny part is that you can also find this behaviour on high stakes, check out Urubu111 from Brazil on pokerstars.....

Believe all countries have had their share of god and not so good players, but if I have to choose the Swedes and Germans have probably had the most popular players in the last couple of decades. I really like various players from all countries and not to be partial, but the older players I like are from the U.S., but Ivey, Selbst, Dwan, Negreauno, Ferguson and Doyle are some of my favs. Good Luck to All!

Plus one for all united statespoker players. As i posted on other threads too i really miss them from the real money table at pokerstars and full tilt poker. They play really good in general, along all scandinavians from sweden, finland, norway and german players. As for italian player i actually saw some good players from there too but there are many that play like the brazilians, way too loose and aggressive. Now as for the wsop event it was clear the most winners would be united states players considering that the event is held in united states. You could say the same thing about wsope for instance. And yes my favourite(and best) players are from United States, i always said Phil Ivey and Doyle Brunson are the best examples. I also like Scott Palmer although he plays almost all games online and way to less live.

this is a good question actually, generally speaking the country who doesnt seem to have as many donks as everyone else... id have to say the germans, they are good players normally, not super great but constient, then as number 2 i would put usa and number 1 is canada... we did win the americas cup of poker, so we are the best north/south american players, but germany takes 1st for europe/asia, this is all my opinion too

Latinas are simply crazy. Hand from today on full tilt poker, no limit holdem, NL10. I had full stack of course on a 6 max or SH table. A player from united kingdom leaves and then a player from Argentina joins the table, so far i only played against two players from argentina, both on sngs. On both cases they only played all in or fold..... Well, so i wasn't too surprised that this guy did the same thing. He only folded or go all in, he never played a hand normally. He sat at the table with half a stack, thats 5 dollars. He won three small plus big blinds, thats 45 cents, but on the next hand he shove it with 6-5 outsuited and it was called by small bling with pocket kings. He lost all the stack and of course he didn't rebuy, so i guess that was his bankroll. I'm sure you'll find it at some freerolls building his bankroll again now....
