BTW if you like Beastie Boys, check out their new song "Make Some Noise", the video is an absolute hoot, especially when the hot girl walks by them in the intro to the song!

When you say "bands/musicians" are you including solo singers, djs and rap acts cos a lot of my favourite artists work with musicians if they are not musicians themselves. My favourite music is so varied depending on my mood, where I am, the time of day and what I'm doing. Also the order changes on a week to week basis so I can only say my top ten as it is right this minute and even then its very hard.
1. Streets 2. Chase n Status 3. MGMT 4. Florence and the Machine 5. Hot chip 6. Nero 7. Cee Lo Green 8. Adele 9. Gorillaz 10. Friendly fires
These are all artists I'm currently listening to and I haven't included any old bands I like (Oasis blurr, guns n roses, nirvana) cos there's too many to mention and I hardly listen to them anymore. Most of the music I listen to is very different from the old bands I like cos new rock music is mostly rubbish.

Also there are bends from ex yugoslavia that belongs to my top 10 such as: Haustor, Azra, Zabranjeno pusenje, Riblja corba, EKV, Dubioza Kolektiv, Partibrejkers... If someone have time definitely should explore those bands on Youtube...

Two very good lists ^^
As I say I like all these bands but I just don't listen to them that much. When they come on in a club or on the radio or randomly on itunes I love em but when searching for something to listen to I prefer music which is new and fresh.
I can't post it in any order, I think I couldn't even type just 10 bands/musicians. I listen probably everything, I mean in every genre there are awesome songs. I can only say that I don't usually listen to Polish music, because IMO it just sucks
But I think every song I listen is my favourite (of course if I listen more than once or twice ). I don't have some "top" songs or artists, every day I listen other genre/artists, it depends on how I feel etc., so I just can't make a list, because it would be my today's top 10, not all time

Not sure if you reffer to music in general or just to rock abnds. i'm myself a big rock fan, i usually like to listen rock when i'm driving, on lond roades especailly. In city i only listen radio and the latest commercial hts aired nowadays but for long trips you need to get a goos music selection. Now if we talk about rock bands here are my all time favourites:
1. Led Zeppelin 2. The Beatles 3. Pink Floyd 4. The Jimi Hendrix Experience 5. Van Halen 6. Queen 7. The Eagles 8. Metallica 9. U2 10. The Rolling Stones
As you see many are classic bands but their music never gets old really, i mean i wasn't even born when some of them were at the peak of their carrier but i know to appreciate good music. Pjot, i also like some rock bands from sweden featured in the Getaway series. Can't really remember the names now but there are in my pc somewhere.

Interesting lists so far! I am a little surprised at how some bands are fairly common among the lists. There are also quite a few bands that I will be looking up to see what they are all about. Keep 'em coming guys!
