Handbags at dawn!  0
So, I was playing at Ipoker the other day, had been working pretty hard all week, so I was quite itred, played bad and al that. (The site was not rigged...) I lost.

One of the opponentets hade the pokername "Handbagsatdawn", and an Irish flag as an avatar. From what I understand midnight is scottish, so probably it wasn't you, but, I was quite close to asking if it was?

So, my question is, anybodt at BRM call yourself handbagsatdamw at Ipoker?

BMR it stands for bank roll management fand in my opinion is the most import thing any poker player should learn about (even more than knowing the rules). If you stick to a minium 25 to 1 max buy in rule, in other words 20 pound buy in 600 pound back up if you drop to less go down to 10 pound table. It will help you ride out variance and help stop the tilting due to variance poor play or playing a hand you can't avoid.
So in my opinion it's the biggest single factor that causes good poker players to lose

you wrote midnight meaning the scottish BRM user
he read midnight understanding that time of the day

A bit too much off topic in this thread indeed, and yes brm stands for bankroll management but of course, it can also be bankkrollmob Smile
Now back to your orginal question, i think the username is pretty interesting, but it would really help to know from what country that player was?
I only ask because i think i saw a pretty similar name overat full tilt poker on rush poker, cash games, the full ring, NL10 table to be more precise, it had the rush badge if i remwmber closely and it was from austria or germany, but i can't remember exactly right now....
Again the username was pretty similar, but not identical..... Confused

I seem to remember that the person had not given out a location (quite usual at Ipoker), but the avatar was, as I wrote, an irish flag.

The reason I thought of midnight, is that she uses the expression "handbag at dawn". But I don't know, maybe it is a common expression in GB? And maybe in Germany/Austria too, as it seems.

its a good chance of being brittish, i know alot of people say it in scotland but im sure it could be said all over the UK and ireland. People tend to say it when 2 guys are having an argument but best use is if 2 guys are having a punch up and neither can fight, arms all over the place kinda of thing and someone will say oh look we got handbags at dawn meaning they look like a couple of girls fighting with handbags Big Smile

Ha ha good olde confusion. No worries though. Did make me think of an interesting question though for Dozn: What are the top ten first classic posts here?

If we don't have one, we need a stickied thread that lists them, that would be funny. I imagine it'd be successful here too with all the first timer traffic we get.

Anyway, sorry to hear you had a crummy day. Good luck next session.
