When the poker house goes down  0
I was having a pleasant evening, playing DON's, Won 3 in a row, and then the fourth became difficult, but at the last moment some other guy become the bubble. In that moment everything stopped responding, and now we cannot login at betfair. I don't even know if my victory was registered and I can't even imagine people that were in bigger tournaments or in big cash games.

Does something like this ever hapen to you? How is this solved ?

Generally they have a policy (for MTT/SNG) in regards to payouts. Hopefully your DoN finished before it went down, so you get a full payment, otherwise; if there were 6 remaining my best guess would be prize-pool / 6

On PKR for example when an MTT goes down, you get something like an even division for 50% of the prizepool, across the remaining players and then the other 50% is split using chip-count as a ratio for prize-pool $$

Most sites have a specific policy in place for these situations. You'll get something.

I already went to look, after a good night sleep, betfair is already up, and my money is there Agree, the tournament finished a few seconds before the "blackout"

Well, it was only a 2$ DON, but for my BR is important Cool

@nolimits411, if you say that's bad luck, for me it would be ruin Aww crap! and I would jump out a window

I do now remember that a couple of years ago, I was registered to a freeroll in PP, wich I didn't play, and then I received an e-mail saying that due to a problem with that tournament the prize was distributed and I received 1 or 2 cents

There are many things you hate about online poker but this must to be the worst part, when a poker platform goes "black" but happily many of them gies you back the buy in, but for being at a final table and playing heads up, it must be terrible to be disconnected right then Thumbs Down Thumbs Down

I might be wrong by i know that something similar happend to pokerstars on one of their big tournaments that was on at the moment, i remember there were almost tousands of posts about it on poker forums and facebook, but where is technology it's innevitable that sometimes it fails Evil

Apart from this disconnections from the poker platforms there are the inevitable internet disconnections that happen all the time, i really think it would be perfect for every poker player to have two internet connections Smile

if its a serious site you will be rewarded accordingly to their rules.
Some sites do refunds though in some occasions.
In the past i took place in a couple of freerolls in a small new site where i was in the money when that happened but at the end we got nothing ( it didnt matter anyways cause they just shut it down few days after that lol)
But with betfair you dont have nothing to worry about Smile
