Bad Beat  0
Just had a crazy bad beat,
i had AK Suited vs 10-9 offsuited

I raise to 20 $ he calls
Flop brings : A-10-J
I have top pair so i bet 13.25 Again he calls

Turn shows : K

So i have top two pair and straight draw this a*****e has also a straight draw but a low one.

I check hoping he bets and he did :
He bet 33 $
And i go all in with 128 $
He calls

River brings : Q

the crazy**** player get his straight while he was playing stupid so its a split pot and i got screwed!!! Angry Angry Angry Angry

I doubt this hand happened seeing you dont seem to have a clue what you're talking about...

1st:
Your stack is ~ $160 meaning it was at least $2/$4 NL Cashgame. Why would anyone open raise to 5BB?
Then on the flop You bet $13.25 into a $40 pot on the flop? That's pretty horrible

2nd:
How do you have a straight draw? The Q makes the straight on the board,so no real straight draw.
Also,he doesnt have a "low" straight draw lol, when the board would make the straight its a guaranteed split pot and thus it's no proper straight draw.

3rd:
Your turn shove is pretty horrible with so much money behind, only the straight and maybe a set will call you here, but nothing worse.
I also highly doubt anyone playing that high would be stupid enough to play T9 like this

4th and most important:
How is it a bad beat when its a split pot? lol

Next time please provide a proper hand history.

EDIT: Just thought this could very well have happened at a playmoney table,if it did I'm sorry for not believing you Big Smile

I don"t care who believes me or not ,

It Happend like just few min ago,

Pocket KK and like always a lucky basterd hit his ace on the flop so its risky to call . Thats something that makes me mad

I wish all my bad beats ended in a split pot.
BeMyATMplz has very valid points, i actually dont mind the 5x, that depends on the table.
I cant vote, I took about 12 lastnight alone.

Not awake yet, so I could just not get it, but this is a weird thread as far as I can tell.

First the Poll. What does this mean?
How many hands, bad beats? In a lifetime? Today?
Just don´t get the Poll...

2nd:
This is not a bad beat story.

3rd:
Don´t get the KK story in there.

4th:
You seem to be sitting down with a lot of money (relatively) at a cash table, but from your story, you don´t seem to have very much experience in the game?

And was this PlayMoney or not?
Not very clear really.
Sorry if I´m not getting this at all.... Confused

Thats not a bad beat.
Plus the raise to all in when the K came in turn was awful Smile The options there, were 2. call or fold.
And btw you havent given us any options voting about the bad beat.
1-3? thats not an option. That can be a standard for a single session Smile

Was this play money or real money? Looks more like play money to me but, eventhough, i will coment because every hand deserves an opinion about it. Me: with that hand after flop, i would sure be a lot more aggressive than you were. Now you: you played right. On turn, you could have bet again, but your justification is good, so you did right once again. Winners arent those with better cards in the hand, but best combination of five cards. You let him see the river, so everything is possible. If you bet higher in the begining, he could fold after flop. You would won less, but at least, if that would make you happy, you would won alone!

I personally don't like at all that check on the turn, i would never play a hand that way...

On the other hand the bet on the flop was too little but this is just my opinion, many would say it's pretty appropiate.

Still, you also had a bit of bad luck but i think with more aggressive bets you could have make him to fold his hand.

Ha ha BeMyATM, always picking on the newbies, keeping them honest.

KK owned my AKs yesterday in a rather unpleasent way, but hey that's poker. Keep at it Moosie, bad beats are a necessary part of the game so just be glad you got off easy this time. Also, browse around there's lots here to help you improve.

Bad beats are all part of the game, and that is just something you have to get used to and learn to accept. Even better is when you learn FROM it and see mistakes that you made. Yesterday on the sb with 26s, three other flat callers in plus the bb next to me I called. Flop came out 2-6-8 and I bet out pot, got two callers, turn Q bet 80% pot and only the button called, river A, button had started the hand as a short stack so I called him all in, he thought about it, called and flipped over KK! Bad beat for him but horrible play of premium starting hand on his part.

Ouch, that hurts. He probably tought you were bluffing so good playing on your part. Very unlicky since he had like 4 outs with 1 card to go Sad

Anyways keep playing your game, bad luck happens, but they can't take the skills out of you! Smile
