Hi, I’m thinking about buying a tablet pc, but I really would like to play online poker there. I can’t find specific information about the theme on the internet and would like to know if anyone here already tried it or know something about this and how do you classify the experience. Of course that, having such little monitor, I don’t want 8 or even 4 tables at the same time. And I also understand that the velocity of the game, if it works, can depend on the internet connection. Tell me if, in normal conditions, I can install a poker room and open a table to play a tourney or a SnG. Perhaps some tablets do and others don’t. I didn’t want to make any publicity, but if you know about some better than others, perhaps you can try to give me a hint. Perhaps the one from Jobs, without Flash, can be a difficulty to this activity… But don’t know if the others with the robot as icon are better… Thanks in advance, I still have to write Santa about this!

Since you want to play poker in a tablet you need to get one that has Windows as operating system. If not all, the majority of poker softwares work on Windows ONLY. Flash isnt the only thing you are looking to. You need to be able to install the software first. There are a few tablets with Windows 7. They are pretty good in general and for what you need them too.

That is a great idea, I want to buy a iPad 2, but Apple software does not support the online poker networks, only Windows operated or Mac systems do support, so for the time being I will not buy a iPad 2, I do not want to buy another brand tablet, so I'll be waiting till Apple supports the online poker networks.

Supernoob, the ceo of windows announced that windows 8 will support classic pcs and also all tablets(except ipad of course), so i think all poker clients will work on tablets after windows 8 will be available
I really do think playing poker on tables is really comfortable but not so good for multitabling...

I dont really find the reason why buying a tablet unless you can use it for almost everything. (and i say almost leaving out programs or games for example which they require more sophisticated hardware) When you buy apple or android tablets is like buying a really big mobile phone. Pretty much a waste of money for that kind of thing. I would ever go one step above and buy a light touchscreen laptop 11-13 " screen. A little bit more expensive though.

This issue is really important. Lots of posts saying certain tablets dont support the sites used for poker. Perhaps the resolution lies the other way round and maybe BRM could lead the way by driving the principle that, as many customners use tablets but cant play poker on them, that the sites start to support the tablets. I know its a principle of commerce, but what a coop for a poker site to support the tablet technology and to corner the market by being the first to set up their software for all tablet users and get them all!
Wouldnt it be nice to think of which sites support tablets rather so that you can choose the tablet that you want, than be driven by whioch one supports poker sites!
Just a simple thought from a different perspective!
It's impossible, the screen resolution doesn't allow you to play multitable well. In fact, a close friend has gave me an iPad 2 as my wedding gift and I'm going to sell it because I find it useless.

If you play like 4 tables its possible. You may consider the fact though that by using touch screen doesnt make your game easier. No matter what, you will need a mouse i believe, while multitabling

Buy an Android tablet with 3.0, 3.1 or 3.2 OS, that is the tablet operating system and not the regular mobile operating system (2.1 / 2.2 / 2.3). Samsung, Sony, Asus, Huawei or Packard Bell...
