** Rigtard Cents **  +5
I just want to put forward a very important poker concept for beginners on the lines of sklansky chips and G bucks.

Rigtard Cents :
Rigtard cent is a hypothetical currency representing money which a regular player will win / avoid losing in future due to poor judgement of new players.
Whenever a weak hand wins against a strong hand in a showdown between a regular good player and a new bad player, rigtard cents are generated

Case A - new bad player loses with strong hand against weak hand of regular
to even this out, bad player has to get money in a similar situation in other hands and win money from regulars. in the long run, bad player will make money from this situation.

Result A1)-but bad player thinks this cant happen, poker is rigged etc etc and doesnt return to play.
Result A2)- bad player thinks its all luck, ends up making hero calls and goes bust

so regular ends up winning rigtard cents Big Smile

these are most important type of rigtard cents short term as bad player has contributed money already to the system and regular has benefited directly from this scenario.

Case B - new bad player wins with weak hand against strong hand of regular.
like mentioned above, in long term regular player will win money from this situation.

Result B1) - bad player thinks he is a winning player, keeps playin the same way and ends up bust
Result B2)- bad player thinks he has sixth sense- starts predicting cards, making calls because he knows he's going to win etc -> goes bust

so regulars end up winning rigtard cents Big Smile

its not important short term as reg loses money, might not benefit directly and there is a small chance bad player will improve due to external factors.
but it's more important long term as bad players will lose much more money in future, they might even deposit few times more just to lose them.

All your posts are great man, I always get too emotional and just start yelling at people. You always stay level headed and your points are always brilliant. I'm not referencing this thread in particular, just your posts in general and particularly on this topic.

Haha, funny concept Big Smile

But now that bad players are informed, they might change their game and we won't be able to make money from them anymore Sad (yes because they will suddently turns in good players --> see the "rigtard transformation" concept) Tongue

There will always be fish. See, as long as the concept of "rigtards" exist, so will bad players. See, the common trait amongst rigtards is, it's not THEIR fault they lost, they lost because poker is rigged. With that mentality, they will always devote all of their time to arguing until the end of time that it's rigged, defending their insane theories, instead of properly using that time to actually learn the game and better themselves.

So you see, rigtards are great, because it ensures their will always be idiots willing to ship us ez maniez Smile

Great post btw, lol rigtard cents. I think you may be onto something Smile

"bad player thinks he has sixth sense- starts predicting cards, making calls because he knows he's going to win etc..." - somehow this is very familiar Agree
hey there is another scenario: bad player thinks he has sixth sense- starts predicting cards, making calls because he knows he's going to win etc - all that happening at wsop, and the dude ends up winning it! now he's a poker pro, player of the year, poker star etc. - hey stuff happens!

On the "rigtard transformation concept, I believe that this is a theoretical concept yet to be proved. Despite a rigtards absolute conviction that it's rigged he/she will keep playing and are unable to explain why Blink

But, the bad player thinks he / she is the good player so which way does the player actually go? This is a great read and I know when I'm playing reckless / careless and have found myself thinking I'm good at times, then I find myself thinking I'm bad at times. I guess this is due to only been playing about one year + 3 months.

Learn a lot reading here at BRM! The Mobsters have taught me more then any book bercause reading here for some reason promotes more retainment. Thanks and Good Luck to All!

Yes learning is all a part of the game, Improving the odds in your own favour, I am a very good player in live tourneys and yet when it comes to online play it is so much different. I like to see a persons face and read them that way. Big Smile

Great thread. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

I know im super guilty lately of playing really hopeful poker. It made me bleed pretty bad forcing small pairs into allins and calling off with draws. I knew i had to do something so i went back to ABC poker. Its almost calming compared to playing flip poker. Im almost convinced if you play poker 100% by the book karma just helps you out. Try stealing with Q10 on the cutoff with 15 bb;s? ur done. wait until ten and then u get q 10 and ship. u get three callers and a flopped str8. Whenever i go on a real bad run and i am wondering if i made the wrong move. The poker gods are there to hand me AA or KK with 10% my starting stack after i just lost it all on KQ.

Keep posting these awesome threads and good night all!!!

Supernoob, you put everyone thinking “am I the bad player he’s talking about? I’m not new on poker, so I am regular, but that doesn’t mean I am a good regular player, I can be a bad regular player who have had luck of getting new bad players in the way all the times I made money on online poker”. How can one deconstruct this idea now?
All of us will keep playing, trying to test your final conclusion that “regulars end up winning rigtard cents” in the long term. The last two years were very profitable for regulars, because the number of online players as exploded in the whole world. Now, I believe next big moment for regulars will be when Full Tilt becomes active again: I am sure there will be so many advertising that we will assist a new phenomenon: people coming to the net and registering and getting no deposit bonus and depositing for the first time just to try their luck on the game, and we will be there in the tables giving them some good moments, and trying to fill the pockets. The other big moment can be the moment when Zinga Poker starts playing with real money: this was something that came on the news during 2011, but the subject seems to have vanished. Maybe they searched in sites like BRM looking for some feedback about the subject and didn’t like what they read. But if I was Zinga Poker’s owner, I would advance with the idea!
