Very interesting to go from poker to MMA fighting. Both require you to observe your opponent so you become familiar with the way they play / figh. Poker seems to hurt more from a mental standpoint versus the physical pain one gets from fighting. Wow! Don't think I could go that far, but a good workout is great for the mind and body.

Heh - he doesn't look like typical MMA fighter - he's rather slim. But maybe this body cover amazing strength and skill... He did good in poker... maybe he will be good at MMA too?

How different can poker and Kick Boxing be? One you play sited and quiet, the other you are always moving and screaming… But maybe for Terrence Chan, this two complete the circle of his piece of mind. After playing poker, it’s good to exercise a bit, so nothing like Kick Boxing to shake the body! And after kicking and leave the shirt all sweat, what’s best than sit at a table and play some cards?

I guess nobody wants to give him a really bad beat - he'll kick the sh*t out of you! One of the guys in my live poker league is a lower echelon MMA fighter and trust me - I would not want to get into a fight with this dude!

well any sport if taken professionally helps to build you as a person. you must be disciplined, work hard, keep motivation and do not make stupid decisions- really good attributes to take wherever you go, be-it business, work, poker, marriage etc. more such examples would help younger people to learn what it takes to become successful.

This physical activity i would not recommend it to anyone. Hard sports don't change your life for the better. There you eat beats and you put your health in danger very often. I do not understand why this professional player chose this method, but i say to this man: he must not to fight too many years in this sport. It's for his own good...
