No worries matey Smile

------------
Decided to have my first run in the dollar dazzler on hero..

playing tight agressive poker, i saw myself relativly short stacked after i lost 30% of my stack on this hand.

Im on the button with 9 Heart 10 Heart

UTG raises 3x to 90 folded round to me, i call, blinds fold.

Flop comes: 8 Heart 9 Diamond 5 Spade

He bets out 110 I call.

Turn comes A Diamond

He checks i bet 296 he shoves for 3200 I fold..

So that left me short. Couple of hands later i decide to rebuy 2000 for 1 dollar. bringing me back up to just under 4k ..

hand before the break im UTG +1 with 7 Heart 7 Club

UTG folds
I call
+2 fold
+3 calls
folded to blinds who both limp and check

Flop comes Q Diamond 7 Diamond J Diamond

I check
+3 shoves for 1800
Blinds fold..
I call reluctantly 1800 into an 800 seemed kinda fishy..

He had 5 Heart 5 Club I hold up Big Smile

I addon for 2500 at the break to 8k in chips. currently at 10.8k and 21st in chips with 79/130 remaining Big Smile

Heart Heart Diamond Big Smile

------------
So i busted out in 56th Sad

Blinds are 300/600/80

Sitting just before the cutoff with 10 Club 10 Diamond after its folded around to me, i make it 1500 with 11k behind.

Folds around to the small blind who comes over the top for 3128 with 11k behind. I sat and thought about it for a while used my timebank, and decided to call instead of re raise.

Flop comes K Diamond 8 Diamond 2 Heart

He CHECKS!!... So i bet 4930 with 3547 behind he shoves over the top..

Holy s**t righting this out it seemed so obvious Aww crap! Aww crap! Aww crap! Aww crap! Aww crap!

anyway I call he shows K Spade K Heart

They hold up Sad.....

What a stupid play by me!!! What do you guys think?

Hand #1-

In the dazzlers you really dont know what you're facing at times. Since the tourny is a freezeout the amount of rebuy zaniness is lessened but because tis a micro game novice players make more mistakes. Personally i think you played the pot well. If he had AK, AQ AJ or maybe even Ax he was calling that board. Ive even gone allin there and had A6 call and get there. So you did the right thing and i think him diving is all the proof we need. I wouldnt be surprised to learn he had 67h and was waiting for you to catch up in his head. The game is that varied.

Yeah, with him checking the turn i figured he was scared of the ace. But since he raised pre flop that is a stupid call. It is obvious i was defiantly beat.

Hand #2-

Glad he never had a diamond. Those four card flushed love killing my trips. Okay all i would change is the action pre flop. Calling here is fine and something ive done many times but i think its the wrong play. You want to force your opponents into making mistakes also since you hit trips 12.5% of the time you want to sweeten the pot whilst giving off the impression you either have a hand thats much better then 77. Or that you will cbet. This works two ways, if you do take the lead but dont cbet you give off weakness and some may attack you. Where you could also make a cbet and win the pot outright with poor holdings.

So what your saying is i should of raised the pot pre in this situation? I tend to try and get in for the smallest amount with small - medium pairs, as if i hit, my hand is disguised and can normally take down a big pot and get paid off by top pair. And if i don't hit, i have an easy fold should i be bet into.

Hand #3- You got greedy i think here. As the game winds down to this stage you still have players who are lucky to get that far but the way the hand was played and the fact he two bet you and you just flatted tells me you already knew you were in some trouble. The villain here knows what he is doing and he made it really hard for you to find a fold here. I think i would have told myself he had AK given the circumstances. It wouldnt be a hard sell considering he two bet you preflop.

Yeah, i noticed the pattern as i was righting out the hand. In reality i should of checked behind on the flop to see if i had improved, instead of risking 60% of my stack, which left me pot commited to call the shove even though i was behind.

I just two bet in the 200gtd and the villain three bet me and i had AA. I dove. He had KK. just like the book says. Anytime you get someone playing 2-3 bets they arent bluffing. At best youd be lucky to face AKAQAJQQJJ or 1010.

Writing it out helps though for sure as you said you already noticed the mistakes you made by doing it.

Id suggest staying away from the dazzlers since they arent reqwarding enough unless you have a crack FT game and can run past 10th since its a freezeout.

Alternatively they have the deepstack games where they pay out more players and with deepstack structure you should be able to play less fearfull of running out of time.

Yeah i thaught i would try my luck in one... but ended up wasting $3 of my bankroll lol... I am not so keen on playing A/R tournaments so I dont think i will be going back any time soon... Ill look out for the deepstack ones and try my hand at that Smile

I gotta make up the $3 i lost by playing something now lol...

btw did you manage to sort that thing out on your laptop?
