In one week, 1 day and couple of hours European Poker Tour makes a stop in Deauville, France. Last year, the €5,000 + €300 EPT Deauville Main Event saw a record-breaking field of 891 players and Lucien Cohen walked away with the first prize of €880,000. It will be interesting to see whether or not this year's main event will see another record-field.

If in 2011, that was an horrible year in global economic terms, EPT got a record field, why wouldn’t it happen this year? I believe it is possible to reach the 1,000 players in the starting field. And it sure would be nice (at least for the winner) to watch the first prize reaching one million euros. Tha would give great titles in the newspapers!

ept is a great poker tour, and france is a great country to visit and spend some quality time at the tables, as for economic climate- there are enough dudes in the world who have plenty of cash, and really fields aren't that huge, i mean 1000 players are very small crowd to find even in one city lie paris, not to mention the whole world
