This came on the news in Portugal today. “Macau gaming revenues equivalent to three and a half times the Portuguese deficit - The volume of gross generation in 2011 by the gaming industry in Macau was enough to pay 3.5 times the Portuguese deficit and buy almost three times the company of electricity from Portugal. The gaming industry in Macau - which also includes casinos, horse and dog racing and betting - ended 2011 with total revenues of 269,058 patacas (25,652 million euros), more than 42% in 2010, according to figures yesterday disclosed”. And who’s contributing for so much growth of the gaming industry in Macau: high stakes poker players too, like we have noticed for the news about their activity in the Orient! Portuguese government should think about hiring someone who builds some bigger and better casinos around here so that high stakes poker players come generate fortune to Portugal. Do yuo think casinos could reactivate and improve a whole country's financial activity, bringing it next to the top countries in Europe?
