First of all I'm not attacking the US or Americans. I attack the system, which is in power across the entire western world, the US just happens to be at the forefront because as the richest country in the world, the effects of capitalism tend to lead from the US. The US government and the governments that will indeed follow are the puppets of enormous organisations.

And you are completely misguided if you think the laws are trying to protect the artists rights. The laws are purely for economic reasons. The rights of individuals doesn't come into it.

I'm definitely glad I live in Canada. Personally I feel even here the government intrudes way to much on people's personal decisions, but the States is unreal. Maybe they've realized that in order to compete with China they have to be more like them.
