He might have trips but it's unlikely. I would say he has 10x, in which case the move is shove since he will most likely call. I suspect in this case he has hit the 4 since you posted the hand but there's n way you should fold this without hindsight.
HU has a lot of variance as you have to avoid being unlucky every hand. I agree with the OP in that this cannot be compared to other tourneys, you can't fold and wait for better opportunities. Although it would be better to have a read on your opponent before you shove. But a typical loose player here bets so often that standard play would be to shove. And if you are wrong, that's what bankroll management is for.

I think he probably has a 10 there and is trying to protect it, so If I were you i'd just 2x raise him and see what he does!
But since you say he likes to overbet, then he can very easily have a 4 because that's what his "strategy" is for, leading out when he connects the flop. How much $ was the HU? If It's under 5 bucks buy-in, then of course you can't really fold your kings there unless you really think you know he doesn't have a 10 or a pocket pair. Wich is almost impossible after playing only a couple of hands against him.

After reading through your post and the replies you've got me thinking this player is a big bluffer and calling with nothing, maybe 9,10 suited runner at the best. This is a hard call based on your comments, but I'm not the best at predicting things like this.
So what did he have? How long are you going to leave me hanging?
I'm a dork! Didn't go to page 2 of your thread to read what happen until I sen it when I post my comment.

lol, i read the whole thing but i voted call before i read past the first post. Okay i would have won the pot but it would have been only what he would have bet since im done raising that pot. The added information about the reraise and call made no sense to me and ill be honest saying i thought u were toast. I dont blame him for trying to float bets to take flops but to call ur allin was telling in my eyes. I was worried for you. Reading he had J6 i laughed. We could wonder why he did what he did but then we may all be a little dumber for it.
gratz on the win
How do you find HU match play overall? is it more tiring then normal 9 handed? id imagine its quite the mental workout at the stakes you play.

well im not sure as with the with a 50 raise im calling with almost anything apart from complete crap but a 4 is well in my range lol. I agree with chartole that the size of the raise is too small with the blinds that small and having such a big hand imo, i want to get as much as i can pre as if he folds the flop i want something for my efforts lol but with at least a 3 times here you get an extra ball hair of information lol
anyway no idea m8 he could have absolutely anything with the mad man raise on the flop from him so im going to hedge my bets and say anything from 82 off to a full house I would prob call see what he does on the turn but i say most times im not believing he has anything that has you beat and if i fold there its just a gut thing
------------ just read the rest and seen the out come, i see you just reraised him on the flop which is good but with people like that i would prefer to just call because i hate it when you reraise and they fold. With Ks the only thing your really not wanting to see is an A but you caught a real fish and he called with his J high lol nice 1
