Call or fold?  +2
I played 2k guaranteed 11$ buy in freezeout last nigt on Lock poker (Marge network).
Ended on final table as a chip leader. Had two really aggressive players from my right so I kept it low and ended in final 3. 1stplace paid 680$ 2nd 440$ and 3th 270$.

One of really aggressive guys was one of players left. Aggro guy was sitting with 400k, me with 200k and that other guy with 200k. We played about 10 minutes and was really aggressive game, I was reraising that aggro guy a lot because he raised like 90% of hands but he wasnt calling reraises lightly. That other guy limped few times, reraised rearly but he was willing to call reraises.

Blinds was 3k/6k with 1k ante. We had same amount of chips like on beggining of 3 way action. I got 99 in SB and aggro guy raised (like he do always) from button to 13k. I decided to reraise him to 38k. Then BB (that other guy) reraised all in.

What I should do?

Personally I would fold here. The passive guy has shoved into a raise and a re-raise so I would expect him to have a premium hand. Of course he could just be fed up and be thinking that $270 is a great result (which it is!). Either way his shove takes away your control so I would fold.

I f you play ABC poker you should fold, but how you described players...fold anyway Big Smile
Let go 20% of your stack coz if any of them bluff with any over card, their stupidity can be awarded.
Hope you won Thumbs Up

It seems to me that he has a decent hand, but probably not better than your 99, but something that would be like a coinflip (assuming aggro-guy will fold). He is trying to take the pot right there, not wanting anyone to call.

I would personally call, since my HU game is not good enough, to take them down, and 99 is a good hand, with only 3 players left.

But since HU is your game, I assume you folded, letting them take each other on, and then battle your way to a victory...? After all the blinds are small compared to your stacks, so you have some time, to do it.

History of hand ( or community card ) really needed in this case , because you have to guest what will community card show ? my reason is :
1. tight player ( 200k ) I am sure he had big pair or AK or AQ. So it's dangerous for you when A/K/Q
show and 9 not.
2. Aggressive player maybe fold, like you told he wasn't call reraise ( is he often go all in preflop, or just raise ? )
If he often go all in pre flop I am sure he will fold.

If trend of community card will be small ( depend on feeling ) I will Call.

You was at final table. I don't know how much players was in game at that time but I will call him for sure. Why.... First he is the agressor and online a lot of players steal the blind and reraise you with A-X . Second it is the final table 99 is not so bad card on final. Sure call.

i would fold easily- what's the point in taking risk here, you have similar amount of chips as the other guy, so you aren't forced to take any gambles, and the payout differs significantly for 2nd or 3rd, so i would take is lowly, besides the chip leader is very aggressive, so he might force the other guy into action and kick him out... Tongue

This is good advise - if you feel you can dominate these guys with better play, then fold and just pick away at their stacks.. If however you feel as though you're out-classed - you're better off flipping (which is most likely what will happen if you call).

There's a few times I've been down to the final 2 or 3 in a game and I've been dominating my opponents and then called something like that and lost a flip - and I've ended up being so angry at myself for taking the lazy option.. If you think you can outplay them.. you're better off outplaying them.

Well, I also like most of you think Ive made a mistake. It was 6am and I didnt think at all just clicked call... He had 1010 and he won. That left me with 15k and I was out in next hand Sad

always call 3BB if your stakes is 50BB at least.if bet is more than 4BB, then probably A is good for having in your pocket before calling anything

I read through your thread and the replies. I don't really have any input, but wanted to inform everyone that these type of threads / replies are the ones that help players like myself learn. I've only been playing for a little over a year and laid off right after "Black Friday". Since getting back on the felts and being back at BRM I've became a fare player.

Keep posting and Good Luck to All!

I've been critiized for saying this earlier, generally with a raise and reaise only the top two hands should call or shove. Now I understand this rule to be a cash game rule but it's saved my butt afew times...actually got me ITM with it

fold... in a HU i would have called the coinflip or if i was low on blinds.
the blinds werent that high, enough time to either outplay them or wait till they kick out eachother.

I missed this thread but my feeling was fold as I read your description of the preflop action. I had him more on an AK/AQs, and the very next hand you are the one sitting on the button. Hard decision, especially when the sun is getting ready to rise again and you are starting to look forward to sleep. Tough one jovica, but congrats on making it to the final three. Thumbs Up

Hi guys!!

With 3 players remaining i call without a doubt. The guy must play really really tight to make you fold 99 and in his range he have lost of coinflips. Bad luck, he had TT. Good played, imo.

If the opponent isn't braindead it is a fold here. If we are lucky it is a flip, but if we are behind, we are down to 20%. And i can't see doing him this stunt with 88 or lower.

Had so many hands like these in the past which i called but my mind says fold but still cudnot.
Still think fold is best but longrun also think call is still EV+ but fold more EV+
But still patience clock says fold.
Hate these hands.

To clarify: A flip is still totally EV+ long run, so dont be sad if calling to be against AK AQ AJ KQ.
