No , I am actually a proud father of 2 boys, who is just strongly opinionated when it comes to things that matter to me. Nothing more , nothing less.
Call me a bum, an idiot, gullible, and whatever other names you can come with , it won't change the level of pride or concern I take in everything I do or am involved in.

Thanks for your rude input. Smile

------------
Upon receiving an email from BRMsupport, clarifying for me that this is in fact just a couple of mob members idea of a sick joke, I can now retreat and refrain from taking any further part in this post.
I personally didn't find it very funny , although it has been a learning experience. My sincere apologies if I may have offended anyone with the foul language I used in reaction to the whole topic, in that sense I guess I may have failed to contain myself. Disagree

There is no doubt that I will be much more reserved and careful when reading and or responding to any posts from here on in. Aww crap!

So for those who had your LOL, my hats off to you.

That about does it for me.
Cool

P.S--> gl to all Mobsters participating in the 888poker BRM Leaderboard starting in March. Smile

BRM is on the pokerstars payroll to, don't be fooled!

There was an accusation made in another thread (jokerstars??) that jessthehuman, amongst others, was in the employ of the poker site to ridicule people that posted about sites, specifically PS, being rigged.

The image is mock up of jessthehuman's employee name badge.

So no, it's not proof it's a gag.

Some people actually took this seriously. Although why they thought his company name tag would have a picture of his forum avatar rather than his photograph is beyond me. A bit of a give away I'd have thought.

The thread that keeps on giving. It would be awesome if this was near top on google for "pokerstars is rigged". Jessthehuman becomes a internet pariah with active groups of eastern europeans looking for him to get back there bad beats. Stars inundated with trolls seeking employment claiming as a reference "jess, thehuman". I hope there is a referral bonus for you jess.

Not to mention the odd person who wanders in and doesnt read past the first page.

Who doesnt like being rick rolled? hehe good clean fun for all!!!

At these photos you can see the list of the PokerStars employees FORUM nicknames. If you see a nickname in the poker forums from this list, you have to be sure, that they are PokerStars employees. Their task is to write positive comments about PokerStars.

CONFESSIONS OF A POKERSTARS.COM MODERATOR by Unnamed Member
============================================================

"Note: It is not clear if chat moderators are permitted to speak about their chat moderating experiences, etc., so the author of this wishes to remain anonymous at this time. But he is a full member of the PokerKrew. This document reflects no official position or policy of the Krew, the statements made herein have not been verified by PokerStars or anyone else; this is provided for information/entertainment value only.

INTRODUCTION

I was a PokerStars.com “level 1” chat moderator for about two months in 2008. Chat moderators are typically players who have applied for and been hired by the chat moderating program. The positions are not advertised; one needs to email [email protected] if interested in the position. Some of the requirements are:

Ability to speak English
Willingness to commit at least ten hours per week
Having an established account
Having a completely clean chat record

There are hundreds of chat moderators from all over the world in every time zone, which is required since PokerStars.com is a twenty-four hour operation. Communication between moderators is done via a (private) Yahoo! group and MSN Messenger. The group contains all documentation and software. Once a moderator is terminated, they are immediately removed from the group and lose all access to these materials. Pay is in FPP, and starting pay is 200FPP per hour (cash equivalent: about $2.50 per hour), and you are given permanent Gold status in the VIP program. All told, this probably means you are being paid the equivalent of around $3 per hour.

A chat moderator is the only position a United States citizen can hold with Stars.

The hierarchy amongst moderators works as follows:

1. Supervisors (or “supers” Blink are salaried PokerStars employees and do all of the hiring, firing, reviews, escalated cases, and so forth.

2. “Hosts” take new moderators under their wing while they get used to the program.

3. “Mentors” are elder mods who train the new mods.

4. “Mods” are the basic chat moderators, starting at level 1, and progressing.

Level 1 moderators take only play money calls, which are CONSTANT. The higher level mods correspond to higher and higher real money stakes calls, and “pay” escalates with each level.

Moderators are permitted to play while they work, but only on play money. They also get unlimited 50k refills. These are basically the perks for moderators. There are also special tourneys for moderators, but of course these usually have no prizes.

THE MODERATING PROCESS

Moderators run four pieces of software:

The Pokerstars.com client (logged in with a special moderator account)
The moderator client
SwiftKey
MSN chat

When a call comes in, the chat history shows in the moderator client, and the click of a button opens the table in question. Moderators can also review the player history and account age. The moderator issues a standard greeting with the macro program SwiftKey. The moderator then issues whatever warning is appropriate, and takes whatever action is necessary against the player, and then will use SwiftKey once again to issue a “departure” and “close the case”. Moderators also have the option to include special information in case a “super” needs to review the case. Pokerstars then automatically emails the players involved. Calls are pretty much constant for the entire shift. Moderators are not allowed to handle calls from people they know.

DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS

Bans and disciplinary action are basically what one might expect. Things you cannot do:

Bypass the chat filter,
Make derogatory comments about people’s race, sexuality, gender, nationality, etc.,
Speak any language other than English,
Follow someone from table to table to harass them,
Make sexual comments,
“Flood” the chat box
State that you are going to harm yourself or others
Post any advertising URL,
Beg for money (which is defined as asking more than once).

Oh, and anything the moderator interprets as disrespect for them will earn you a ban immediately.

Here are some thing you can do:

Say whatever you want as long as the filter catches it. For example: “**** YOU you ****ing donk!” (note from DrKK: This was not my experience. I said something that the chat filter completely trapped, and I was still punished since the “intent was clear” Blink
Speak non-English as long as no one is complaining about that, specifically,
Hound people excessive so long as you do not follow them around to other tables.

The types of bans that are given:

3 Hour Ban: Most first offenses, non-English, things pending supervisor action
24 Hour Ban: Repeat offenses, and severe offenses (threats, racial, etc.)
1 Week Ban: Persistent repeat offenses
1 Month Ban: Persistent repeat offenses
Permanent Ban: Extremely severe repeat offenses, must be approved by a “super”.

If you do get banned, that sucks, but there is something you can do about it. If you feel that the moderator made a mistake or misinterpreted what you said, don’t say anything at the table since moderators cannot talk to you or anyone else at the table about the action they take. Email [email protected] with as much detail as possible, they will review it and reverse it if possible. Mods can only make three such mistakes before being terminated.

That’s about it. If there any specific questions, I will be happy to answer them. Just ask me in the ventrilo or the private forum."

after searching through pokerstars employees i came across this, coincidence i think not! try explaining this one!!!!

pff go to hell man, do you know why people blame all poker sites are rigged mainly the best one out there, well there are some that are rigged really, but the most reputed are not.

If you cant win there then you will think that it is rigged, and i bet that you are a losing player and that you burned a lot of money there hence you claiming that it is rigged.

Or it might be a joke from you, and i clearly understand, like saying pokerstars = jokerstars etc.

It is part of people nature to distort things about reputed people, like parody about celebrity etc.

So my advice will be just to suck it up, join poker forums, learn how to play poker properly, remove your tilt issues, work on your mental game and sooner or later you will win and you will see that pokerstars or any other sites are rigged in your favor because every time you play you win!!

Anyway hope i wasnt too harsh with my advice, if i was please disregard it and continue with your life as will I!

Cheers!

Hey guys, I found something really interesting! Please, watch this video! I am really speechless! This is a Sunday Million Tournament!

How will you explain the play of ImDaNuts? Confused Is his game just a pure luck? Or is it possible this player to be rigged by PokerStars? How will you explain that ImDaNuts everytime, every hand wins? I am really confused?

Confused

ImDaNuts is Chris Oliver!

Chris Oliver is a native of Florida, currently hailing from the city of Holiday. The young poker enthusiast found his knack for the game as far back as high school, and he quickly became a force to be reckoned with in online poker tournaments. And his bankroll had grown into something respectable enough that he defied his parents and quit high school to play on a full-time basis. Though most of Oliver’s results include online tournaments, ones that range from $5 buy-ins up to some of the bigger games available, Oliver made a bigger splash in the live tournament world when he turned 21 years old. He was finally able to play in live games, and he took a few select shots at major tournaments. In 2010, he played in the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, managing to cash in one of the $1,500 no-limit hold’em events there. But it was his trip to the 2011 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure that put him on the map. He played a satellite online, and for an investment of $920, he was entered to play the $10K buy-in Main Event. He was recorded by the media as making some very unconventional plays during his run, but it got him to the final table as the massive chip leader. Ultimately, he finished the tournament in second place, succumbing to online poker foe Galen Hall, but still taking home $1.8 million for the big finish. With a newly refreshed bankroll, Oliver looks to play more live and online poker in the years to come with the support of his parents and friends.

According to OfficialPokerRankings: 4.844.386 $ winnings only at PokerStars since 2009.

Did this happened to you?

You don't see the avatars of the other players, you don't see their chips, you don't see against who you are playing? It is crazy! You play like a blind person! When I play at the tournaments, when my table changes automatically it happens like that.

Their "specialists" said everything is ok! Is it, really? Big Smile

How RANDOM is PokerStars dealing ? ......
It's always the same patern, PS software tends to finish tourneys as quickly as it's possible by giving the bigger stack "good odds".
That's why you can forget about skill.
