Unlucky or what! I suppose you could say i shouldn't have limped, and i probably shouldn't have but still, unlucky. I then proceeded to to have a miraculous series of double ups first, 3 in a row.

I then played a little more cautiously lost about 200 chips, but doubled up again not long after on aq, but went back to about 900 two hands later. Doubled up the hand after losing 800. This time pocket 7s holding up, doubled up again hand after that. And not too long after again making me clear chip leader. I then just shut up shop for a bit and ended up coming 3rd winning $14.85. Unbelievable! Big Smile Big Smile Big Smile

I think the first hand you played fine and just got unlucky. Hard not to think you have the best hand on that board, and I don't think limping was bad at all tbh. Q10 isn't a hand I'd be raising with after that many limpers, and Q10 is a good hand in multi-way pots.

About the only thing I'd say you did wrong was limping your last k10 when you have like 500 chips. If you're going to play a hand like that with such a short stack, just ship it and be done. By shoving instead of just raising, you're folding out all but the stronger range of hands. K10 won't be dominated by a lot of ranges you'll get called with, and by shoving you'll only get called by a strong hand where you'll be at worst flipping, instead of being in a pot with 3+ people. Also by shoving, you also have the chance everyone will just fold, giving you the blinds which at your stack size is a sgnificant addition.

Also, gotta say you made a sick comeback, winning like 4 flips in a row to come back from 1BB is pretty damn sick lol.

I agree with Retribution. He right for first hand, just limp in. And with K 10, 525 chips if I want to win, ( not just play for fun ) I will go all in. My reason is :
1. With poor chips we can not try, see flop. No have enough chips for that. Below 24 BB I will All in
or fold.
2. If we call we hope luck for win. If lose we will have very poor chips ( need a lot of luck to win 3 in
a row like you at the MTT ). Since we hope luck ( had strong feeling ) why not go all in ?
with all in we can hope every one will fold ( if they have crap or trouble maker hand )

Congrats for your win Big Smile Big Smile

I don't know if I'd entirely agrees with playing shove/fold if you've got that kind of stack. I'd say anything less than 15BB you're definitely shipping it, but with 20+BB, you've still got a little bit of wiggle room. You definitely want to be a little nittier with your opening range, but you still have room to raise and fold if need be.

Hi guys!!

The mistery of the super shortstacks... Sometimes are imposible to beat.

Serpang, no sense playing push or fold with +16BB!! Why we want to push that big hands that we can play standard and situations, as steals, when we don´t need to bet that hard.

It was a crazy action on red kings, don’t you think you were risking too much on those top pairs, considering your kickers? Even more when watching pairs at the table, these always scares me a lot. If I get one on the flop, I tend not to know how to react. If I am playing with an overpair at the hand, I usually bet to test opponents, but if I don’t have nothing and I am not first to play, usually I end up folding.

Yeah falkiry I agree i was risking too much, and usually I'd be straight out the game with that stack an those moves, I was just blessed last night, most things were going right for me.
