The past week has been tremendously slow for me so I'm going to have to whine a bit. I can sit patiently and play the better hands, AA, AK, KK, QQ, etc. You get my point, but it just seems to be a bad time. I'm getting kicked by 8,9 or Q,5 cards like this.

Is this just how it is sometimes? I mean, no matter how patient you are and even folding good hands when the flop doesn't show the right cards. Maybe I should try a new site! Which brings me to this question.

How many sites doe most of you play on?
When doing rather poor on a site do you stop playing ther for a while?

I only play at 2 sites Party Poker and PKR.... I have noticed the same things your saying about good hands getting busted by S.H.I.T hands But mostly at micro tables Ive started playing higher limit cash tables and find that thought it does happen just less I think It the new young players that are super aggresive and willing to play any cards....You are going to find these players on all tables in all limits.I play tight and pick my spots and if I loose to S.H.I.T at least I can sleep well at night knowing I was in with the best and lost to Crap to the new age poker players

I play on pokerstars and partypoker, but your situation may be just a bad week or a bad time, try to focus a little more, when he sees that the game is not becoming to you, quit. Poker is a game full of skill studying your mistakes that you will improve, so you will bring the cards and the ability to your advantage.

You know my consternation of late GM. Up until the 100k gte i was unstoppable. Then the day after the big game i started to falter. We talk about rungood often in poker circles. Can it all be down to that? If your AA doesnt hold are you fucked? The last two days ive been preoccupied with other things and havent played to my schedule. When i did get a shot to play i played without thinking much and it seemed like things were back to normal in terms of rungood. More importantly when i did lose with my big hands i had acquired enough chips though late position steals and other places to survive. Which made me think. Am i overplaying micro stakes?

I mean i never worried much in any game that i would be outplayed. It was only after trying to play the tightest whitest (honest synonym lol) poker i could muster that i noticed i was being picked apart, outplayed and losing. This all came to a head when i made a pot sized bet utg with AA. Allegedly limping would be the right play in that spot generally. I picked up a button call. He called my 2/3 pot sized bets until the turn where he dove allin. I called and ran into a str8. I didnt put him on 86s but he had exactly that. I emoted a whiney "roll" and he simply lol'd and said obv he knew i had AA or KK and would gladly draw me on implied alone. Knowing full well i wouldnt fold if he hit a monster. I was shocked. he was totally right. This brought a rush of memories back to me about why i play a wider range of hands. Why i used to pride myself on getting out cheap.

So my conclusion is to be more active watching the game and not just waiting on hands.

Im pretty exclusive to Hero currently. If you want my advice. Download hero and make an account and grind some freebies until you feel better about your game. Personally i think you are a great player and just need to find a groove you are comfortable in.

Now all of this means nothing if i dont do well tomorrow. Smile)))) big expectations huh?

reading it again i guess in simplest form i mean to say we all have folded down to some agro we think is just a thief only to get so low we pick up AA and he felts us with 85 and then we realize he was robbing us the whole time.

We need to identify those players and in certain spots float his bet pre knowing full well we are check raising flop irregardless (lol i guess it is a word since no line) of what we have.

My time of dedication to the game is short but i use to play in four or five sites. I have the one who is giving me more profits, so I dedicate more to it, but I keep playing in others because I like to observe the difference between them. I have money in all of them, but not all are giving me profitable results. I play ring tables in two of them, and the action is so different that I try not to play it at the same time in both. In the others, I usually play some MTTs or small SnGs. But I never think about stop playing in one site just because things aren’t running well. Maybe I stop for a week, but not more than that.

Read all the replies and appreaciate hearingback. Always makes me feel better after losing then coming to BRM and receiving somefedback from good people.

My biggest problem is being in the U.S. and having limited access to sites I can play on, at least with real money. I am going to take some of the advice and move up in the stakes without expectations that I will become an instant winner. I will also seek out a couple other sites to see how they are.

Once again thanks for the feedback and wish you all the best of luck in life and on the tables!

whoa whoa whoa GM. Tread carefully. Run bad doesnt care about stakes. If you think you are running bad in micros then u will continue to do so regardless of stake.

I do appreciate you wont have to race as often because most times higher stakes are tighter but thats not always the case. Personally brm is the only thing ive really stuck to and its lead me in the right direction always.

Im positive thinking a card will come will make it come. i know silly right. but mentaly if you think it will come and it actually does come its devastation pure and simple.

Sorry Serpang if it seems like im ignoring you. i swear i am not. I do believe there are more chips to be won with proper play then with AA or KK. suited connectors in the right spots, late position steals. Calling a late position dive in BB with mediocre aces and such. Small pot poker is a real proven way to play. A good friend and i often wonder if we can win a sng with just position moves and check/raises on weak players. We are sure it can be and maybe even a much better way then waiting for hands. Like i said above. Once people brand you as a tight player they will be playing you on implied pot odds instead of just their holdings. They will know that they can stack you off with even two pair on a flop and we will call.

I promise i will make a video for you tomorrow BUT it wont likely have sound. I didnt understand the significance in why you wanted it but now i see you want to know what hands i play

Hello this is a good conversation,

I started to play at Pokerstars but i stopped there for a reason (too much suckouts).

Then i played for a while on Partypoker good site and you can make money over there (one problem over ther was i made on the same time 2 accounts because the time i needed to wait and i won a tournament 1st place and wanna cashout some money then the problems began, final i needed to drop $50 and now i don't play there anymore).

Then i found 888poker good site to play only software problems so i delete the site.

Then i came at the Ipokernetwork started with Titan, PaddyPowerPoker, Chili, Mansion and now i gonna try GutshotPoker all the same Ipokernetwork but there is still a difference between the points for money program and i think Mansion is the best and now for to play the $150 at Gutshot not so bad at all, i think it is the best promotion to find these days!!!

I have accounts on many poker platforms but usually i only play on two poker sites...

Usually it really helps you to have an alternative where to play especially when you are on downswing on a site.

Thanks for all the feedback and Micro, you said one time that Carbon is part of a larger network and I can't recall who or what network they're a part of. If possible and it's okay to let me know here in BRM could you please inform me of that once more. Maybe I can register with some of the sister sites. As I stated there's not a lot of choices at least to my knowledge, for a U.S. citizen to get in.

Also, I generally play the $1.10 to $2.20 SnG's so I was thinking about stepping up for about a dozen games to the $5.50 bracket. I'll definitely think about that since that's two and half times higher then my norm.

Lot of good informatiopn throughout everyone's replies though so I'm listening. BRM has always been my stepping stone to playing better poker. Thanks

my man, Mohave, chill bro!..
I think it's got more to do with what stakes you're playing and less about the poker room.
Even if you make a good x3 raise, donks and gamblers in lower stakes of possibly EVERY poker room on the planet are most probably going to follow with any Q5, 89, etc. So there's the possibility to lose a pot that otherwise you could win with no flop.
Going up in the stakes & playing more expensive tourneys is where I think the non-donk stars shine better. Pre-flop raises make the game.

Except for Stars & Party(possibly my favorite), I consider Titan and BWIN as good rooms.
Not so much a fan of the smaller rooms, mainly because I hate to wait for a game to gather enough players (although I play in a couple of those attracting mostly greek players)

Carbon is part of the Merge Network. Google Merge to see what other rooms are in the same network. Other networks accepting USA players are Bodog and Cake btw. gl
