I had a look at the source code now, and it's true that it does in fact reset when the safe is cracked. It checks to see if you tried to crack the *current* safe within the last 24 hours, and if so, then you are denied your free attempt. If not, you get your free attempt.
But of course, if you tried 10 hours ago, and the safe was cracked 5 hours ago, then you would never have tried your luck at the *current* safe and therefor you get another try.
I don't know if we should change it to only one free attempt per 24 hour, no matter if it has been cracked already or not?

Check the post #7 at this thread. I posted it exactly after using a shot at the safe. 24hrs past again and got no free shot.
The last free shot i got and im talking about the daily was at 25th a couple hrs after i won in the calendar. Since then havent got any at all which is weird.
I believe you should leave the system working as it is now. 1 free shot every time it is cracked unless it goes up so the 24hrs takes place.

Okay, and 97 of them are extras, I can see in your account. So you do have your free shot.
However, I just tried, and it seems it uses the extra shots *first* and then the free shot afterwards. I think we discussed it earlier in here, maybe in the beginning, why it was made like that.

yes, you have 98 now, but 97 of them are the extras. your one free shot is within the 98 you currently have, except it will use the extras *first*, and only when you have 1 left, that's the free shot you get daily.

i never realized i got an extra shot when it was cracked but i can confirm ive been gifted more then 1 shot/day without thinking much about it. Mostly due to time zones ive no clue when it resets so i never paid it much attn.
I do know if you have 1 shot you never get a free one. So until you use all those shots up mober you wont get a free one.

Mober- just sit on those shots and then go nutso when it reaches a good amount. i guess you are losing 1 shot a day at hitting the safe but its a decision u alone can make. Under the current system i mean.
If we could change it so that the shot was added every 24 hours regardless while removing the code that gifts 1 shot per crack would that be a fair tradeoff?
