According to numerous reports, the Dutch Supreme Court has ordered several gaming operators to implement software that blocks residents in Holland from using foreign gambling sites. The government has tried to block foreign companies from offering services in Holland since 2003. WTF !!! Stoned man can take another man as a husband there, they can adopt a child together, gamble at every corner in Holland Casino and after all decide how, or when they gonna finish each other life by euthanasie.....but they have to protect Dutch citizens from gambling. This is a bad joke. LoL

Well i know you can legaly smoke weed in holland and visit prostitutes in Amsterdam but for the rest netherlands are 1 of the best country's in europe to live and i think in the world....better then polen mr mascona because you people come here by the 1000's to work illigaly...dont get me wrong i have polish friends to...they actualy inhabit half my building so i have to be . .lol

And about the euthanasia is totaly not true....there are very strickt rules for euthanasia and this cannot be decided by no one else then a doctor and you have to be in a very bad situation even to ever get a aproval on that...its not done very often i can tell you that

And gambling on every corner ...?? ...mm not realy...there arent that many Holland casino's in the Netherlands...there are a few small slot halls in every big city but certainly not a casino in every 1

BUT i do agree that its bs to stop people from playing online....I think there should be more supervision on the online gambling to make it as save as possible for the player

BTW deposited 30 euro on 888 casino yesterday and payed out 1250 at the end of the evening...so...for me its a good thing i could still play there at least yesterday Big Smile

well that's probably due to the fact that this helps to launder money, transfer huge lumps of cash without paying taxes etc.- in the end i doubt this is due to the fact that Netherlands government wants to stop people from playing, this is more or less due to more serious business

The dutch supreme court has ruled that the blocking (which is pre-existing since 2003) of foreign betting site "LadBrokes", is allowed. There was no mention of blocking poker software.

This block is intended to protect citizens against gambling addiction. The only allowed site (Lotto) has to abide by strict government regulations (and does).

In fact I seem to remember a ruling from a few years ago, that poker is a game of skill, not a game of chance. So there is precedent for not blocking poker sites.

I don't know. We can't really bet on anything over here; it's all lottery type of games. There's no bookmakers, horse races or anything, like in the UK.
I bet (pun intended) that for governments that do allow gambling, it is a huge source of tax revenue...

This new rules look everything but fair in a country so well known for being free and democratic. If they want Dutch Lotto to bring them better results, then they have to improve its capabilities, not smashing their direct competitors.

Woah! going to stop you there.
We have more or less the same situation in Belgium, and there are definitely bookmaker offices in Holland as well. The company "scientific games" runs them. Lots of locations.
And you can bet on horses, football, whatever.
Also the Casinos. Holland Casinos, lots of them.
And the "gokkasten", thousands of gambling addicts on those.
And least of all, the Lotto type thingy, where sooo many pensioners actually spend a huge chunk of it every week throwing their money to the government, not to mention all the other addicts donating a percentage of their salsry every month to that.

Same in Belgium, they want to "legalize" online gambling by denying access online to everyone and every site........ UNTIL...... they make a deal and collect taxes on them.
They PRETEND it is to safeguard the citicens against gambling addiction, but we all know it's utter rubbish.
There is SO much money in online gambling, all governments want to get in on the action.
The SOCIAL excuse is to make sure people don't get "addicted" to gambling.
Load of rubbish obviously, since the Casinos are allowed, the lotto and lotteries are allowed, gambling venues (bookmakers) are allowed, and even online sites where the Tax Department can have access to all data like Pokerstars now in Belgium are allowed.

The rest will be blocked soon, UNTIL they make a "Deal" with the government so they can be cut in on the action as well.

Let's not be naive about this, it is well-known and very clear why Countries are doing this.
Has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with safeguarding it's citizens.

I don't live there of course, but have visited 4 or 5 times, that is Amsterdam and enjoy the getaway so I'm not up on the political practices for gambling. I just know I don't like what the U.S. did to us here and don't like anyone or governemnet mettling in my personal choices. That is, I work pay taxes and should be able to on-line gamble a bit. Maybe I'm way off track here!

Totally agree, all they care about is collecting taxes and force people play on domestic gambling sites in which government has a slice. Unfortunately it's a trend that's sweeping all countries of the EU.

Mechanism is simple. Buy the governmental license for gambling, you will be able to operate on the Dutch market. Money from taxes etc.. Sometimes it works that only "firends" of politicians can obtain gambling license..

What about economy freedom in UE? Blink
Politicians say that there is free exchange of services .. : ))) LOL

Polish government does not block foreign online gambling operators yet, but it is illegal to provide such services to residents of Poland. Fortunately they do not execute this law...

The gorvernent here in Holland are the biggest thiefs,in 1985 whe had prime minister Ruud Lubbers, yep the man who couldn't his fingers off the womans ass
he wanted that all illegle wanted to go back to their own land, but at that time he had almost 300 people in his compeny,The goverment cant have that if a Dutch player wins by PS let say 1 million, becoz in Holland the goverment have
their own Holland casino's,this argument is since 2004 i think, and suddenly they wanna stop the dutch people to play online?IT'S OBVIOUS THAT THE DA
(DISTRICT ATOURNEY)AND THE PRIME MINISTER WANTED DEEPER AND DEEPER IN THE AZZ OF THE PRESIDENT OFF USA,JUST LIKE WHAT OURE QUEEN HAD PROMISED TO SOME INDONESIAN PEOPLE ,IN THE TIME THAT INDONESIA WAS A COUNTRY OFF HOLLAND,WHEN USA FOUND A MOUNTIN
ON NETHERLANDS NEW GUINEE,THE PRESIDENT AT THAT TIME SAID TO THE DUTCH IN THAT TIME,HOLLAND HAVE TO GIVE INDONESIA BACK TO THE
PEOPLE OF INDONESIA,IF THE DUTCH DID NOT DO IT THEY WHERE TODAY NO ALLIES OF EACHOTTER,WHIT OTHER WORDS,THE DUTCH GOVERMENT
DONT HAVE TO PUT THEIR HEAD IN THE A** OF THE USA PRESIDENT,I BET
HOLLAND WANTED TO BE LIKE USA,BUT WHAT ABOUT THE RED ZONE,AND THAT DRUG POLICY INHERE, ITS ALOWED ,ALSO IN HOLLAND THE ADDICTS
OFF HEROINE DONT HAVE TO "SCORE"MONEY FOR THEIR DAILY FIX,HERE'S A PROGRAM FOR HEROINE USERS ,THEY GO 4 TIMES A DAY TO AN OFFICE
AND THEIR THE ADDICT WILL GET THE DAILY FIX.WHAT I WANNA SAY IS THAT THE RULES IN HOLLAND IS ALMOST THE SAME LIKE USA,NO DRINKING
IN A DICOTHEEK BY AGE 18,BUY A GUN IN USA WHEN U ARE 18,DRIVE A CAR
IN USA WHEN U ALMOST ARE 16 Y.OLD nO,I HOPE THAT HOLLAND WAKE UP
AND PUT THEIR HEADS OUT OFF THE ( | )=A** OF USA

------------
if the US president tells that he is blue, then the Dutch prime minister will also
say ,yeah the president is blue, reminds me at the time in the army,if there's a conflict in the world, and the dutch gov promised the fam off the soldiers that Holland wouldn't go to the conflict area,in my time, bosnia, then it was a mather of days and at the end u ended for 1 year in a warzone,no Holland is a countrey
whit a big nose and whit that big HUGHE nose they like to put theire nose in
issues what's not concern off holland.

Its also not only the lotto,u need to win the 6 numbers, almost the odds that a jumbo jet is going down in a neighberhood,or the Dutch National State lottery show, and the State Holland casino,in 1997 they build the 14th Holland casino in my hometown: Enschede, when that casino came in the town, all cafe's down
town had to give up their gamble (ftuitmachines),now presentday,in enschede
u will find not 1 fruitmachine, only in the dutch casino, while before the casino came to enschede there where a lott of fruitslots, the dutch thiefs in Den haag
wanted to fill their pocket.......if a political member do something wrong, like
touching a womans as*, the person get fired but instead that he can never work for the goverment they give the person a bonus ,a new job, cars etc etc
also the middle class of holland pay tax ,not for the tax comepny but 4 themselfs, like i said before the biggest thiefs, live and works in den Heaque.
for that a so called "GOLDEN SHOWER"for all off them,if Obama would say
Mr Rutten would you like to suck on my big tow,Mr Rutte will clean the whole
feet off obama to be shore he did a good job,BAH I'm glad i've not dutch blood in my vaine's,whe called them: Belanda boezoek, they think 1th at themselfs then about the people
