I have played on Poker Stars for about 8 years and have learned nothing about winning but have learned a lot about being sucked in. I say this because I have found the site to be exactly as Muscona says he has observed, but with a twist. I believe that certain player's are for whatever reason tagged with this poor luck and results, I also believe it is built into their download and the fact that these players are not all treated the same is how it becomes difficult to point a finger at any one fact. I have often felt that this could be a selective difference in the software that the player is currently using, and once tagged a sucker with that email, ip. or player name, that player always get played the same way. wish I new more about computers as I would look for some difference or markers that may vary with different players software from the poker site. Call me crazy or paranoid if you like, but whenever money in the huge amounts that can be had and greed and computers are involved, you would be a naïve fool to think this software was all on the up and up. The folks that run these sites are well not exactly motto citizen's. Sometimes I think I may be playing someone in a call center in India. That's all I got to say about that

That is all true enough, the thing is - all of these ways that you lot talk about, they're all detectable, which is why the sites wouldn't rip people off in this manner. They're far more likely to rip people off the way full tilt management did.

there is no rigging which cannot be detected by properly designed statistical analysis but can be detected by players based on observation/experience alone.
anyways if u want to live in denial then continue with this pointless discussion.
@buggsy - wht does a call center in india has to do with rigged software??

I'm sitting with 44 on BB at 6 handed table in tourney, everyone fold to SB / he has 3 x more chips than me/ and he raise 2 x BB , I 3-bet him 2,5 x and he calls, flop is A 7 4 rainbow and I'm sure that I'm holding the nuts right now, but I'm not going to slowplay, so I bet a pot hoping he get his high paar ... and he calls. Turn comes J , I bet big again and he re-raise me, so I'm going all in having my set. And guess what Master JODA shows: 35 off suit...... end of my way, I was so sure the 2 comes at river that I've already pushed leave the table X. How well do I know KoserStars software, next card was of course one of four 2 in that "virtual" deck, what a coincidens That's POKER STARS folks.

WoW, that's a hammer, but I think you didn't understand that news, it wasn't a joke.
The huge building in fire was a Canadian Embassy in Warsaw and the 49 firefighters were searching for some form of intelligent life there, but they couldn't find any .....

Got a new kosher creation for you:
my 44 at big blind vs. SB every hand russian pusher with biggest stake at my table. He bet 2,2 BB and I 3-bet him, he calls / of course /. Flop comes J 7 7 , I check and he checks back , turn : 4 and I bet 1/2 of pot , he pushes all in and shows /LOL/ J 7o which gives him nut full house...... Now can someone of pro analitics from here explain me what motivate such a player to call a 3-bet pre-flop with a garbage like J 7 off suit ?

Magic River........? or just poker. I had AA v KK earlier today in a HU game. the flop came K 8 3....my opponent posted, "UNLUCKY". Yup, I thought, but just wait till the magic river....and along she came,,.... tun was 7 and my beautiful A came floating down the river in all her glory.
