I dont think that is a problem. I think they increase the number of women only tourneys because they know there are lots of women playing and they want to call their attention in the better way. And what better way than to have tourneys just for them. Its like having tourneys just for French, or for Portuguese, fine with me.

So why not men only tournaments ?

Agreed
...and Blind people only tournaments
(or doubles tournaments for schizophrenia sufferers)

It's all good

But think of the possibilities for the owners of these sites. Get the women involved (she usually holds the credit card!) in an exclusive club (the men are in their own one already) and they can start the revolution! The bling will turn into diamonds and could possibly return a bit of class to the game.

It wasn’t me who asked why not men only tourneys, it was Cruimh. But I believe they don’t create that type of tourneys because those are already the majority of them. And, most likely, they don’t see women going far in their tourneys in general, otherwise they wouldn’t feel like having necessity of creating something like this. Now, as for other classes, like blind people, I believe that if they realize there are a substantial number of online players that fits that profile, which results in a big difference to the mass of players in general, they would also create a tourney for that class of players, as for others. It would be a matter of giving them that idea.
