PokerStars Zoom: Poker Will Never be Boring Again

Tired of slow games and no action? Then you should really check out Zoom  - PokerStars new, fast-paced ring game format. When you fold in Zoom you will be dealt into a new hand on a new table straight away. In fact, as soon as you have been dealt a hand, you can click the 'Fast Fold' button, which allows you to fold when it's not yet your turn to act. This speeds up the game a lot as you[...]   Read more » PokerStars Zoom: Poker Will Never be Boring Again

This seems a bit too fast for me. It making me think in bad things. There are always lots of players in Stars, but enough to put so many players playing in so many different tables at the same time? And people will be playing hands that are already created and defined before others play it. Ok, there are trillions of hands, but the truth is they all have a number, and if someone enters the hand database… rigged.

Hi guys!!

Zoom Poker, as Rush poker in FTP was, is the best kind of poker to people who can not play lots of hours and tables every day. Now play 1000-1500 hands/day is easy for every player in 1-2 hours.

And i wait for Zoom Poker SnG and MTTs...

for jokes i started with 1k in the 5/10 zoom playmoney tables. Im now over 400k in 3 sessions of playing. No more then 25 mins a piece.

Its not poker to be sure. How can it be. Everything that makes poker poker is missing. I only played AA or KK for allins and i was amazed the hands people played back at me with. Thankfully even with instant gratification there will always be meat heads still willing ot gamble with J10.

Id love to play real money and just see how much i can run up by playin only AA.

Just tried it for about 15 minutes. I guess its not my kind of play. I seems that I still don´t have the right strategy for this. Is it really folding everything and waiting for AA or KK and hoping that someone pays you out ?

I never played zoom or something like that but for me it seems as if it is just waiting for monsters and it takes a lot away from normal poker than i prefer to play on turbo or speed tables there the waiting isn´t so long and it is more than poker with position play and things like that. In my opinion if someone likes it he can play it and so it is a nice idea for some players. Smile

i think it is just awesome for a dude who just doesn't want to sit and watch how others are playing after you folded- and if you play strict abc poker with lots of folding- zoom really speeds up your game and if you are a slight winner in the long run- zoom make this long run happen a lot quicker

I hope other sites catch on to this type of poker. Always liked playing RUSH at FT and I believe it's a great way to promote sites. The fast paced play kept you on your poker senses with little time to make decisions. Bring it to the other sites! won't mention any names!

This is good if u wanna boost bankroll.. Fold, fold, fold. fold, fold, fold.. AA? Raise! So, just need to be lucky..
But its bad for those one who cant control their hunger for money.. So, i think its good to play 30minutes, but after 30 minutes - quit and go play some MTT with a thinking to play it for 5-6hours Smile It help, cuz after 5-6 hours, y'll probably be in the money.. Smile

Like micromachina said - To pay or to be payed! That is the question Smile For some ppl its all about

Dollar

Got aces cracked twice in the same hand lol. Shoved and got 2 callers; one holding 88 and the other KQ.

The 8s made trips on flop and KQ made two pairs on the river. Talk about bad luck Sad

When I tried this type of poker at Terminal Poker last year I thought it was fun, but not something I would want to do all the time. At Terminal Poker, since there were so few players, at least you would often see the same players and start to get a read on them and their playing styles, but I imagine at PS you would not be able to do that.

I think Dozn tried that out to see what gives.
On FT Rush, I mean.
Doesn´t work. Takes WAY too long to wait for those AA, and you spend more time at the table waiting than anything else.
profit / hour is not reachable in any decent way.
+ all the times people just fold to your AA KK or whatever or they get busted.

We posted a lot on Rush at the time.
Great way to lose a lot of Cash fast! Big Smile
You keep thinking you´re on a roll, and then.... Kaboom!..there goes your bankroll at the table. Sad
Kinda fun once in a while, but a very Varience-heavy game IMO.

Played a bit on Zoom, and quickly lost $3-4. Doubled up slowly and then lost most of it in one hand. lol.

Good luck with it, and have fun! Blink

Hi guys!!

I´m surprising for some posts. I´m going to put a tip for Zoom Poker (people who played Rush, you sure know it):

Zoom Poker (cash) is a play to win... blinds. A good steal/resteal play is much more important than other thing. And wait only AA, KK, QQ, AK... is a horrible mistake we can do until HM works properly (and no one call us).

Blind game + Solid ABC... Sure winning player in micros.
