I have to say I'm getting a bit frustrated with the BRM freerolls on Pokerstars. I don't want to be too complacent, but I've been knocked out a few times now in 10th or 11th position, and I don't think it's right that I get awarded only 0.1 points, after having played for 4 hours. Surely 10th out of 5000 players should be worth more points than this. The scoring is something that needs to be addressed in my view.
Also, many of these players are not even forum members from what I can tell. Why can't we have it like Party Poker, where player accounts have to be tracked to the site? If that's not possible, maybe BRM could set up a weekly leaderboard, where the tournament prizepools are pooled together and distributed to the top how ever many players for the week. That would certainly solve the problem. I mean how many random players would want to play a freeroll with no prizepool?
I hope a BRM administrator reads this thread, because I'm pretty sure other people are thinking what I'm thinking. I would like to hear other mobsters views on this as well. Or, maybe someone could do a poll. I'd do one myself, but I haven't reached the "minimum number of posts" requirement as yet.

I do feel your pain and get it... have been there so have alot of us and eventually you become a bit numb to it i can generally laugh of the foolishness that occurs cause of how used to it i am lol

i will have to double check but is 10th and 11th really 10 cent prize? wow and ya it is dissapointing as hell to play that long for that little reward.

my current month ban on chat for pokerstars is actually because of something i said invovling this very issue during one of these tournaments a few weeks back.

This idea seems good in theory but then again in practice it could be a very different story such as problems working that out with stars.
also welcome to the forum i see you have only made a few posts and though it wasnt a recent sign up its still nice to see some people coming to the forum, stick around theres always lots of interesting stuff and also the occational piece of good advice poker wise

I agree it's a big job to sit in the bingo players to get at least 20 out of 5,000 in prize money ... In general, stocks may be worth up leaderbord results in a week?? It happens in one week I'm playing very well, and then not being able or very unlucky, sad that so much effort in vain. Freerolls --- the evil smile

So i just checked, it's 26 cents for 11th position. Still, 0.26 points is pretty meager.

Good stuff! Actually I signed up a while back but haven't really been active until now.
I have never played on Pokerstars but what i can say is that the BRM Freerolls for the leaderboard on Partypoker aren´t tracked cause i have a none tracked account and i am playing the freerolls also they are just Password saved but ther are just like 500 players in it so i like that it isn´t tracked. Just the 200 dollar or what ever BRM Freerolls are tracked.

Going so far and you are frustrated? What can I say, without getting even once to the paid places. You have done it more than once, and there are lots of players going serious on these freerolls, so you did well. There are good players, who play paid MTTs, entering in these freerolls. If you are a low bet player and you manage to get 10th, then this means you are doing just fine. Keep going, there will be one time when you can see yourself in the first 5.

yeaaaaah i feeeel you dude- i usually don't even get up to 10-11 th most of the time- i just go all in on the first decent cards, and as it turns out they are not that decent as i think but yep it pisses off when you play for 4 hours to get 10 cents/0.1 points- but on the other side- a freeroll is something that is given away for free so just take it or leave it

I must say that stars is only a joke room for me. Every hand a draw board if you hold a top pair and suckouts over suckouts. I played since 2007 there and now i hate this rigged fakeroom. And the same is in the ferreolls. You play any hours there and if you had luck you can win 5 cent lol. But i like the other freeolls at 888 and Party they have a better structure.
