I was surfing a bit around, then i found this discussion: **LINK REMOVED BY ADMIN - NOT ALLOWED TO LINK TO SITES WITH POKER BONUSES!** They confirm that there are pokerbots on the ipoker network...? The worst is they allow them.....
if u want to see it edit the link if you clicked on it... Somehow it gives asteriks.

Im thinking the asterisk is a result of trying to post a link. The forum rules are against linking to a site that has poker bonuses. So maybe because the asterisks are there you wont get a temp ban. You could copy and paste the article in the forum as a viable work-around so long as its not copyrighted material.

Thought I'd ask you and hope it's not to silly. Could you explain what an actual poker bot is? I'm assuming it's a fake player that the sites have in the games, but only been playing a little over a year and I could look it up, but I might as well ask and hopefully I'm close in my guess.

a poker bot is a program designed to play and generally play well at poker normally at a multitude of tables. These bots or computer programs are used often in online poker situations as either legitimate opponents for humans players or a form of cheating. Whether or not the use of bot constitutes cheating is typically defined by the poker room that hosts the actual poker games. Most (if not all) cardrooms forbid the use of bots although the level of enforcement from site operators varies considerably. i have heard rumours of sites using bots them selves but this is here-say not fact nor is there any facts to support this claim (as i know of)
hope this info is a good answer to your question bro

I think the copyright law(s) is u can use Text etc but as long as you reference(state) the Author/site etc, got source from( that was old laws not sure nowdays!) but as u said, be against form rulz!, to use URL,website
I have been bot checked at PokerStars before, I had won 2 lots (Per tourney +points then 1 or 2 -points then +points again) of 9 or 10 games(if remember right), in a row on/at the PSO OpenLeague in one month and had good consecutive wins in months before 7-8 to get in the -500 mark to go in PremierLeague, It asked me too TYPE the text i could see, and this has happened to another player that got 10 win's in row, on PS form
It's good that some site's practice good security practices etc keeping the poker cheats away, I hope

Are you saying there is someone legitimate from ipoker network confirming the existence of poker bots in their tables with their allowance? This is an accusation… I don’t know if it is true, but if it is, there may be other companies wanting explanations about this. They just can’t compete in the same level of other companies who privilege honesty at their tables.

reading up on bots a bit i learned in august a player started an investigation by himself after noticing odd patterns in HU nlhe matches. He compiled his findings and sent them to merge or hero i cant recall. Hero Ceo David Jung made an announcement days later that the accounts in question are being suspended and their own investigation was to take place. Some people were actually upset because they knew too there were bots in those games but some players were exploiting the bots habits for a profit. Kind of funny imo.
@GM. There are programs on the internet one can download that play poker for you. You can adjust certain attributes so the bot plays certain hands a certain way. Reading up on some of the bots it seems there is a big market for this and some are quite expensive.

The story with bots in ipoker network is old one and probably never ending. From some articles i was reading some time ago William Hill was stating in his site the use of their own bots. After the fuss ipoker made a statement that they are against that and they do anything in their power to prevent such a phenomenon and WH had to remove from their Terms and Conditions that they use them and made another statement.
Now as already been said ipoker is the easiest platform for boters
I dont understand how someone could use a bot to cheat i even don´t want to make money like that or win something. I play poker because i love the game not to make profits or not to become rich. So i hope someone is doing something against poker bots cause that takes the fun out of poker.
