I am fairly new to BRM - and I love the freerolls especially at 888- PokerStars has so many entrants it is a tough go to place ITM- my frustration came when the time change happened and now both tourneys start at the same time- I am not experienced enough to play 2 tables at the same time so I am forced to choose between the 2 tourneys- I usually opt for the 888 BRM freeroll just because there are fewer people to compete with. But I did choose PokerStars on the weekend and pulled off a 2nd place finish! how can I become confident or coordinated enough to play 2 tables at the same time??? or should I just focus on one table at a time still?? Question Question Confused

i find it hard to understand how two tournaments can be too much- but i guess just go for what you feel comfortable with. if you find hard to keep up with two tourneys, don't go just for one- register at both- go all in in one of them with any decent cards- if you double up, close the poker room- open another and do the same there- usually you will get busted in one of them or both Big Smile

Gratz for the second place! You can minimalize the tables and then you the both tables. And test the cascade or tile options so you can better handle more than one table. The rest i the question of the expirience. You see with the time you play more and more tables.

Since you couldn't play more than 1 table. The best is just play one table. Your winning isn't guarantee by number of tourney you play. My suggestion is register both tourney, but when start you just focus only one tourney, take a look tendency is bad or good ? if good continue seriously and forget another tourney. If bad go away for awhile to another tourney look which one better.
Usually if you had bad/dead card at one tourney , the other one will be bad either, and opposite . even different site. Or just my experience like that ?

Hi AliceB4, welcome to BRM and congrats for the 2nd place.

Play more tables. Or try to play it. If you are playing freerolls sure you must play it since you play confortable (you don´t put your money so you have nothing to lose). A little work trying it will have a good reward later.

Freerolls will keep this Schedule, so this means you have a decision to make. Most of online players tend to start playing at more tables at the same time when they become more experienced. This doesn’t mean they know enough to do it. Most probably (and this is not a critic to anyone special, maybe even I have this problem) is that people tend to take faster decisions and so they think they can play in more than on table at the same time. But this way they will be deciding faster when it is their turn and opponents, if they pay attention to this, can read them better, understanding better what they are capable of. If you think you should concentrate on only one table to play better, I think you should keep things that way. And you already got a good place at Stars, even having bigger fields than 888, so… you decide, but maybe keep playing just one of them is the best. If you are going for the Leaderboard, keep on Stars, you already got a 2nd, so you already have nice points for that.

By the end of the month most of the rest of the cities will have change time so all
will go back to normal.
I forget sometimes to sign up in some tourneys i play all year around and they are the same time
each day. Habits Smile

Not hard to play 2 tables at a time. just resize your tables and try not to freak out Smile

Thank you all for your input! You have all given me a bit of a different outlook for trying the 2 table theory-- it isn't easy trying to get a "read" on the players while playing 2 tables but I think I will try it and see how it goes - I figure if I play on one table and keep an eye on the other for the first 20 minutes or so it might work out- cause usually the "all-in" contest is done by then- lol- Blink I just like to take each game seriously and usually do well when I am paying attention- on 888 if I can get past the first 300 or so I am doing well, on Stars it takes a bit more effort cause of the larger field of players so if I make it to the point of 1500 players or less then I can usually finish ITM- currently I am on both leaderboards so I think I am doing something right Smile So just to be clear- I don't lose any TLB points if I bomb out early? and thanks again for your insights to playing 2 tables- if I don't take on the challenge then I am not pushing myself to be a better player!

Hi Alice, welcome to Bankrollmob forum! Don't worry about multitabling, climbing up in number of tables happens to different people at different speeds. In any event, the main thing is to have fun and still be able to play well, regardless of the number of tables. I used to play 8-12 tables but lately am playing 2-4, mostly because by the time my day is done and I have some time I am pretty tired Sleepy You will probably realize you are ready to add more tables when the wait for your turn to act starts feeling long, and your reaction to your hole cards, your opponent's bets, the community cards and your position becomes instantaneous. yay problem solved- it is back to alternating hours!! no more dilemma- lol- the two table situation wan't working for me- I couldn't focus enough to get a proper read on either table- I guess time and experience will help - but till then one table is enough for me to focus on and play a better game Smile
