Just gunna C/P this from my facebook post. Found this on Reddit today, and wanted to share.
Apparently Facebook did a global sweep today, banning all convicted/registered sex offenders. While I think that it's a good move on their part, it makes you wonder one thing. Just how did they find them? And just what kinda information is Facebook collecting on us.
On one side of things, I feel bad for all the flack the guy got from fellow redditers. I mean it took a lot of guts to post that. But on the other hand, they are right that it's likely he's not sharing the "whole details" about his conviction.
IMO, ALL sex offenders should be castrated. No second chances. No excuses. Straight to snippity-town.

It's easy enough to hold such an opinion, but what if there was no offence and it was consentual, and the person with the claims is lying. What if the convicted 'sex criminal' has served their time and changed, or there was never a crime in the first place because the prosecution lied. It's not all so simple, shows how much of a government operation facebook has become, and I can see millions of lawsuits heading their way.

To what avail? I'm sure its a great place for police to keep tabs, now I guess they will use fake accounts. When a 16 year old boy has sex with a 15 year old and the parents get him on a list its a bit unfair, also for those girls who look a lot older etc, its not a b/w field, not to defend them, just saying. Is it not best for the legal system to decide these matters of concern? Also worth noting, female castration would have little effect.
