Poker site question  0
Just a quick question, I'm sure somebody on here will be able to answer. Do pokersites burn cards? I think that's quite good question, could be silly to some of you who know more about how they work though.

Lol , good question Smile) never thought about it , but I think they do burn cards Smile , or at least their software , formula , magic leprechaun , or whatever they use to deal us the virtual cards, if they wouldn't , they wouldn't follow the rules of texax hold'em.

Just reading up on it, apparently they don't. People on other forums are saying it doesn't make any difference to odds, and it doesn't. But, hypothetically, say there was a site that does use burns, (I don't know any), and that they shown the burn cards on the hand histories. Now lets say there was a rigtard who lost on aa to 72 off when the flop came 777, then when the rigtard looked through their history (I doubt a rigtard would but its hypothetical) there was an ace as the burn. I think it would make a difference then.

Burn cards were implemented to thwart deck stacking in the old days if i recall correctly. Typically games were played where players dealt and could stack a deck. So to prevent this they introduced the burn. With cards being virtual and the sites working from such a privileged position of consumer trust they likely figured there isnt much of a point.

I know but hypothetically, that could make a rigtard change. I'm talking about a blank canvas here not a particular personality.

You have a good point there , the odds can't be influenced because , odds are calculated on the number of cards left in the pack , not the order they're dealt in , and what u said about AA and 2 7 , it
goes both ways , burned or not burned , a rigtard would still rampage the forum boards. But still , I think they should be burned , it's only natural to follow the rules of texas hold'em.
