Sure. Close to the bubble, when all prizes are equal (e.g. a ticket for a tournament).
In fact, I do this almost every time, when my tournament life would be in danger, but have enough chips to make it past the bubble...
It would make no sense to play them, because the only difference would be how many chips I have left when the tournament ends, with the possibility of getting knocked out. Folding has fewer risks, if you can survive past the bubble...

K K sure , depends of how the first round of bets goes , AA not really , it's like kryptonite for me , although I got kicked out many times , playing AA in a 3-way game , but still , just can't fold that AA.

Also depend on how many chips I had. If I had most stake than villain who shove I will call cos if I no use chance to kick him out when I had, I affraid get card dead ( manytime happen to me ) and finally my position in danger.Play save in bubble no guarantee get prize.
Of course you can fold KK or AA pre-flop on the bubble if you have your tournament live in jeopardy and chip-leader goes all-in and you want to make it to the money cause you could always have a bad beat

Don´t play only your hand, do the right thing in the right situation. In a DoN game it is possible to fold a monster hand. And in a bubble phase as shorty too...

Don't think I've ever folde AA, but I know I've had to fold all other pairs at one time or the other. I've lost with AA several times because of my greed or need to play them.

KK maybe, but i never fold AA...
Still, i would playthe hand as it should, i mean i avoid to go all in preflop with it in bubble since that would be silly really especially against a player with a stack similar to mine...

Cash game: Never fold AA pre flop. KK- almost never - only exception I can think of is when 300bb+ deep and somebody ends up allin before you've committed anything to the pot and you're sure they wouldn't have done it without AA/KK.
Tournament: Never fold KK/AA pre flop in a standard payout MTT - regardless of whether you're facing the chip leader or anyone else or how close the bubble is. However - folding AA/KK in a satellite game or any other game with equal payouts and you're sitting well to pass through the bubble -is standard - fold literally every hand, including AA.
SNG: Only exception is DoNs - or other weird format that severely skews the ICM. Like with MTT satellites, if you have enough chips that you can fold your way into equal prizes - then fold every hand without exception.

of course- it always depends of situation- since poker is a game where you always search for value, and make moves only when you believe the move is "valuable" therefore i do not see a problem folding aa or kk when you are in a good position in the tourney and there are small stacked players...

I have never folded AA or KK. Don’t ask me why. Maybe because rare anomalies like getting KK or AA on the bubble or in those one in a thousand situations~ well, never happen to me. I ALWAYS get AA and KK early on in the game or when i am the chip leader.
Ps. I just lost with AA to A4s about 5 minutes ago. 1 pair is no match for a Flush lol

I did! And i have to say it wasnt a hard decision. I have almost out of chips, only two guys were left so that I could reach paid places in a tourney. The KK come to my hand, there were still several tables with action, and I decided to fold to guarantee some money. It ended up well because, in that same hand, two guys went out of the tourney and I accomplished my objective.

Rarely play tournaments that the prize is the same for all finishers and also never got them on the bubble so no... i never folded them intentionally but also never lost with them in a risky position so i never felt i had to.
Did happen a couple of times timing out after the break and coming back just in time to see i was holding the bullets. Once it actually saved me lol.. 2 guys had gone all-in and one of them hits trips which would put me out early on.
Never did, but I could against some very tight players I guess (but you have to know their range, and it depends on the sutation a lot). In DoNs and stuff like that I agree it can be a good play, but I don't really play these.
I know a girl that plays so tight, I would definetly fold KK if she shoved early!
