Did your opponent take the loss gracefully or was he a bit upset? Just curious! With a donk hand like that I figure your opponent would be pretty upset losing to an 8,3.
No matter what! You took the money so that's about all that can be said ay?

Nice hand. Very creative play by your opponent. Of cause he got lucky hitting the river. But stuff like this will happen a lot of time, if we play for stacks with just a medium pair.

I'm the losing player Green, I had 10's he had 8,3

Strange hand. Do you remember what you were thinking as you were playing this hand. I would've been very leary of that King after all the preflop raising. And him calling and raising so much pre-flop with 83s? Why? I heard ya Doomdy, but why?

Was the ttable really aggresive GodWard? Is the other guy actually a profitable player? So many questions?

What a bad playing to call raises and reraises with 8-3s. And to push allin with a midpair after the preflop action is only a "semibluff". But what did he think what the other player have?

83 suited - creative yes.

I think he played the hand well tbh - and was representing a bigger holding obviously with the raising.

The king card would have put the brakes on a bit, but i wasnt playing the ahnd so maybe you suspected they weren't repping any K hands.

I think he tried to push you off a hand by making you think he was stronger than he was and his play went wrong but he still ended up winning by luck than anything else and when an 8 hit they maybe figured that with the money in the pot they can stop any calls/raises from you.

It's partly unlucky, partly a play gone wrong.

I get literally so pissed when people go all the way to the river with cards like 83 to catch two pair what are they thinking?...im confused are you the 10's or the 83 and if you are the 83 please tell me what you were thinking win or not how do people do it?

he was the pair of 10s

Hi guys!!

Creative. Nice word to say what kind of person plays that hand in that way. By the way, your call in flop is horrible except if you hand notes or lots of hands. You put +100bb in table with a 2nd pair!! Yes he had 83 but other hands can appear with that call, imo.

Because if you catch either card you likely have middle pair at best with a weak kicker. It doesn't have straight potential, so hope for the flush?

You can represent strength with anything sure but there was a fair amount of action that hand making it harder to pull off.

Maybe I'm thinking too classically, can I improve my game by playing 83s more often?

you see this kind of shheeet happen all the time at lower stakes because people think that it must be a good hand because its suited but at nl50 im sure he must have just been making a play and got lucky.
unlucky bud

8s3s??? Where have you found that guy? I want to play against him many times!!! You only tell us one hand, but I guess you must know him by now, have some background information about him… but moving this way after that flop? What was he waiting for? Another 8? River could give him the pot with another spade, but it was a worthless go all-in waiting for you not to call, perhaps, can’t figure out what was on his head at that point. Ok, he won with two pairs, but it was perfectly insane on his side, you did nothing wrong. If you use to play against him, you must have had won a lot from him till now.

He came to the table and the first hand he played was the hand in question. I raised, he reraised and then called a 4 bet. The fact he went all in on the flop showed me he didn't have a king or he would have bet around 1/2 pot to entice a call, the all in said weakness to me. If he had a king it wouldnt have bothered me and I would have accepted the fault was mine.

The next hand I flopped set of 5's and he called with a bigger kicker and then left the table but I WILL find him again!

Lol, phew, good thing. I was starting to worry that maybe I needed to throw out everything I'd learned about poker. There's some instances I'd play it, like if blinds were huge compared to my and someone raised my BB, or if a short stack raised me in a similar situation.
