I propose we run a BRM heads up tourney. Idea is this.
We all pony in XX mob points into a "pool" which Tony can hold in escrow. Once we've got enough entries, someone (I volunteer myself) will randomly pair people together, and we'll run a typical bracket elimination tourney.
Game of choice is HU NL Texas holdem, and each round will be best of 3. It doesn't matter what site you play at, as long as both contestants can agree on a mutual spot. Play chips or any level you want to play, so long as it's a normal 100 BB Hu NL texas holdem.
Additionally, once the lineup is chosen, we could take side-bets on who we think will win/lose etc, pool style.
I can put together a thread posting each round, as well as matchups. I'd say we need at least 16 players to make it a good match. Of course we need even numbers since it's a bracket style tourney.

I think it's an excelent idea , it will give us a chance to get to know eachother outside the forum space , into the poker envirement , so if Tony decides to take this in consideration , count me in , from me , hope your idea gets put into action .
I'd say if we could find 16, we could run with it. The only hitch would be if Tony can't/won't escrow the points, as there's no way to transfer otherwise.
I'd say anywhere from 100-500 points would be a fair BI. Works out to be around $1-$5 worth of Mob points.
Perhaps do a 70-30 payout structure, or a winner-takes all, depending on what people vote for.
16 people @ 500 points each would be a total of 8k points up for grabs. Nice sum if ya ask me

Okay, I can allow this, on the following conditions:
* You guys do most of the work, I'll just remove MobPoints from all entrants and then transfer the winnings to 1st (and 2nd?) place once it's completed.
* No "recruitment" - don't try and get someone to signup at some site where you just happen to have a "tell a friend" link ready, or stuff like that. Im'a gonna get pissed and fire up the ban hammer!
* Most of you guys in here probably have accounts on most sites already, but if you happen to play your HU at somewhere you don't, please use our links to signup there - I think we deserve it
* No commitments. I cannot guarantee that we can do this again, or when, so for now consider this is one-time show, so don't sit on the fence, get in on the fun while you can or you may never get the chance.

I think you should go for a two-prize system, making the player that lose the final HU to also have some reward for getting there. I don’t know if I can enter this because it will depend on the date, but it is so difficult for me right now to get time that it is better if you don’t count with me. But don’t forget to advertise it around here, and then tell everybody about the result. I want to know who is the best HU player from BRM!

im not sure but i think the idea is to organise the time with the player you get drawn against. so you could play it.

Tony your the man I love this idea I am in please let me know dates n times for this show down and dont pair me against any of the big seater clowns first lol looking at you doomsday and Fakiry lol youve been here for years and got seventeen legs up on me dont wanna face you till later rounds.... all jokes in the last part thanks to the idea retribution and extra thanks to tony for being a part of it let me know more details as they come LOVE IT

We had HU matches on Bankrollmob players club on stars with bi 5$ and there was only 4 of us willing to play. But for points... it can work. I will play any stake and its alowed to organize 3 play money games per day in club.
