Nice idea I doubt I'll play as I'm only playing one site atm and I'm not very flexible on times but I hope it goes well. Can I suggest you start a new thread called "BRM HU championship 2012" or something like that, which admin can make sticky so it's easy for everyone to find and clear what it is. Then give everyone a date to enter by.
Is there anyway you can make it more than 16 players? I know its a bracket tournament but that only leaves 16 or 32. Maybe you can have a qualifying round for people with less mob points (eg 10 places buy-in at 200 mob points 12 places buy in at 100 with an extra round). Perhaps too complex but it's just an idea.
Also I think you should make it clear what happens if two members are unable to arrange a time between them. You'll have to give each pair a fixed amount of time or this thing could go on for months and months. And decide who gets knocked out if one doesn't show up. It's definitely a good idea to encourage other members to watch so there's no doubt who wins each heads up.

good idea retribution and as tony's said it's ok then thats great,count me in as well,i'd also be in favour of a top 2 payout as well if your after opinions on the payout structure.

Well it seems like an overwhelming yes for the idea. Okay, I will update and post a player list when I have a few seconds. Seems like 70/30 is the payout we'll go with, and unless anyone objects we'll go with 100 point BI.
As you involvement tony, all you gotta do is xfer the points, I'll do the rest. And I can agree to the "no friend" referal. I'm sure it shouldn't be too hard for those partnered to find a mutual platform to play on, as well as an agreed on time. This is something that will be left to the players.
I figure each matchup will have say 3 days to play, to allow for scheduling whatnot. Once players are done their match, they can post the results here and I'll update the brackets as it happens.

Then probably create an "official" thread (I'll allow you to edit the 1st post in that thread forever) which you can use to keep stuff organized, and then create a 2nd thread where people can "chat" with each other in order to arrange for place and date they will be playing.

If some want to challenge someone else from the list are you going to let that happen?

That's too bad , we could've used some of your jokes at the table to lighten the mood , also I believe you'd want braggin rights over someone on this forum ) , so maybe you'll change your mind.

The idea is nice, i like HU games. But i´m waiting and look for this first round. There are a lot of poker rooms with multi table Hu games 4-16 players (stars etc.).

Sounds like you'll all have a good time and would love to be a part of it, but I would just be a spoiler to the deal since the only site I can play at to my knowledge is Carbon. If there is any suggestions I'm open for that, but don't think I can participate. Good Luck to All!

I play on carbon as well as every other site lol... so I will match you first in Carbon so you can be apart of the action and Ill just have to beat you so there is no problems in the future matches lol
