It's down to the last 10 on BRM 888 freeroll - but the tables are still split and I pick up 4h4c on the cut off and it's 4 handed.

There's a sitout on the button, then SB 100k stack, BB 90k stack.

I'm first to act - I shove.

100k stack folds.

90k stack calls _ i figure they probably have Ax.

They show 2d2h. I'm very happy obviously as I'd shoot up to 85k in chips and stand a real chance of winning.

Flop comes down Qd3dJc The turn brings an 8 of diamonds - all good.

River brings an ace of diamonds.

Shock

That's poker...

And i never got to see myself at the final table.....

I simply believe it was a very bad decision to shove with 44 , final 10 , worked don't know for how long to get there ( don't know how long it takes) , and you decide to go all in with 4 4 , in my book , I don't like, understand players shoving with cards like 22 , 33 ,44 ,etc..

It could be argued both ways of course - if I was him I wouldn't have called with 22 to such a large shove, half his stack.

Bottom pair against an all-in - coin flip at best 10 times out of 10.

I was an 80% favourite preflop, an 87% favourite once the flop hit, 75% favourite when the diamond 8 hits on the turn.

Even if I had pushed with absolute trash like 73off, I'd only be minor underdog and there was nothing to suggest I'd make a play like that.

22 at that stage was a donk call from him.

Would you call with 4-4 when he shoved at first? I hope no Blink Ok to call this allin was va verry bad playing: what does he think what you can have? What he do is only gambling. And of course, the runner runner flush is the first price for this playing Big Smile

I'd think before mucking.

What I found funny was the fact I was in the last 10 yet never made it to the final table lol

I guess it all depends to the players and his/her standards.
For example there are many players shoving all in with any pair they get.
And im not talking once, Im talking every single time.
Even if they get 22 two times in a row, they will go both times all in.
Like the lyrics from an old song ( which i like) saying : it's my prerogative !!!
Theirs in this situation Smile

Yeah. Blinds were 3200/1600 with 320 antes for a total preflop pot of 6080.

Be happy that you didn't pay an entry fee on the tournament and got this bad beat Blink

As some guys above said this is variance in poker and you need to accept it, there is no other way lol

IMO your shove wasn't bad. Of course if you get snap called you're most likely against an overpair or a big ace, but you won't get called everytime you do that move. In the long run I don't think it's such a bad play, unlike AlexSimion says.

Better luck next times noonlion! Dollar

Stack 40K, blinds 3200/1600 ante 320, standard shove, well played just unlucky.

Nice hand! That’s the way heros become winners! I’m sorry you lost and looks like I am celebrating it, but what I mean is that the 90k stack played very well. Many others in his position would have folded a 22 hand when risking half of their stack and so close to the end of the tourney. You did what you had to do, in a 4 handed table that was the right move, the only problem was that river covered you…

Hi guys!!

Well played, imo. About 13bb stack, 4 handed hand and low pair = easy push. I don´t have wprds for the BB call with 22. Hands to push are not hands to call, almost every poker player knows. Bad luck in this one so maybe next time you will have more luck.
