Macua's casinos are making 5 times as much as the casinos along the strip in Las Vegas and the town keeps on growing. Last week the latest casino opened up, Sands Cotai Central, and it costed 4.4 billion dollars to complete.
Sands Cotai Central's 2 casinos have 340 gaming tables and 40 VIP areas for high rollers. Later this year - another floor will be open for business, with another 200 tables.

Nice complex! But thinking about what they already have in Macau, many people from there will probably think “just one more”. What about that other project that was trying to get a license to go to Madrid? I never heard about that anymore, and I keep defending they should take an eye on Alqueva (south Portugal) possibility…

cool 4,4 billions...this only means the economy in the east is doing way better than in any other part of the world...or not (lol)- this can also mean nothing at all- or not, one thing that really catches my eye is the 4,4 billion tag- this cash would look great in my pokerstars cashier...would be enough to play some 0,10 cents sit and gos

Just can't see the place competing with Vegas as far as overall tourism. I believe the area is exotic, but most of the business is from outsiders based on articles I've read about their economy. Yes there is wealth and the country is growing, but 80% of the people living in China are not to well off. A lot of sharing when it comes to the general population, wages and the opverall art of survival. But yes, a magnificant casino / hotel and city.

A new casino is to open by me, but it gets better, its a Grosvnor G, and I mainly play at blue square, sooo....yayyy...GUKPT down the road, 5 min walk, can't wait.

That is alot of money, but can be expected it is true that Asia has a growing economy thus there are more new millionaires in that region. They must spend their free time in the casinos.
