Over rated IMO, who owns another album other than legends(I do and its crap), he was only ever good with the wailers, though legends makes up for the rest of the crap he did.

Bob Marley made his mark in the music industry, but became world wide after his death. Never listened to a lot of his music, but was overly impressed when I took my son down to the big Mayhem concert and seen all of the younger kids wearing his colors and observing a tribute tent that was set up for show. Hard to believe he's been gone since 1981.

Bob Marley will always remind me of a trip to Spain and a special girl when I was 15. The Jammin' was mighty fine ...shame the football wasnt quite so good. Made some great TV saves though! Long live the King!

Prove me wrong, post the song without the wailers and see how it compares. Everyone praises Bob, when did the wailers get a mention? That's why he is overrated and the wailers underrated, with out them you would not know him. Peter Tosh was the true legend. You are all just easy skanking you need to stop that train.

That's a joke right, the rudeboys were the top of ska and reggae, while Bob was down and out, it truly was his lucky break(not to say he did not add to the wailers), but if it was not for peter tosh(the almighty true legend, who wrote most of the "bob" songs) leaving the band, or refusing to tour then Bob would never had seen the light. When people talk abut bob, they talk about bob and the wailers, they just don't know it and fail to recognise how the wailers made him the icon.(bob overrated, wailers under) Without the wailers there is no bob, some one else would have got the lime light.
Aslo don't get the 20years bit, unless it refers to 20ish years with the wailers, he passed in '81

Yep, unless its 1985(first release 65), the one we have come to love was released in 77. Being 9 when you first heard it should have been a clue I actually put legends on my USB for the car today, great album.
