I think that PTR will not assist players with information of PS in the future, because PS will file a lawsuit against for millions of dollars in damages, for breaking international law.

Hi guys,
Sorry I'm not sure what you're asking either, although I also don't know what PTR is, can anyone fill out that acronym for me? Is it a poker tracking software? If so did PS do something to block it? If so I imagine it won't be temporary.

yeah PTR dont offer stats of pokerstar players anymore. big to PS for doing this and hope other networks follow. i think anyone using PTR to get stats of opponents or buys hand histories is cheating
and PTR said they will offer "opt in" option for players which is more fair

PokerStars can´t close PTR, because this company is not a part of stars. But stars not allow player stats there in the future. I think the better way was to close all tracking softwares, but sites like PTR are ok.

This is what i wanted to say, i mean there wasn't a problem(for me anyways) that you could see my results. The problem was that you could buy the hands that i played...

Never got into it, and never used a program like that. Im just wondering though how they are getting the hand histories of all players playing at a specific room for example PS you are talking about now

Big time!
It's like random player X sitting down with Mr.Chips who has the software.
Mr.Chips is going run them over most likely.
I found out today *this is probably no great revelation to some* that there's software that finds out who is losing the most money, so you can sit next to all the fish.
Incredible really.
I wonder if live poker will become a staple again once the technology gets to a ridiculous point.

I'd definitely rather the option was shut down too. I know there's holes in my game and it sucks that someone can see them all for a flat rate. They'd know how I play better than I would.
Not only that but it's a nuclear weapon scenario, basically if the option exists then all the competing players will have buy in to keep their edge over each other and the only one who profits is the weapons dealer (ie. PTR).

The real problem imo was that, in time, I will be forced to buy a premium access. If i don't do it is EV- if all the other players can (and) do it. It was the great business of PTR and sites like that.

And again. How are they getting the total history? Are they using a software which they "attach" on each site in order to track all hands? And if so is this legal? And are they tracking 100% of the hands on sites that they advertising on tracking or thats a myth?

You're so right!! People make decisions based on these informations, that sometimes lead to very poor poker. It's part of a player's skills to be able to analyse other players ranges and betting patterns, you shouldn't have a tool doing it for you!
The opt in option is great, they shouldn't have the right to give away those informations about our game without our consent.
