Just wondering about this, as i thought of the idea whilst replying to another thread yesturday.
would it be better for bankrollmob members, if the freerolls you host on pokerstars, were played in a home game club? you could set the club up and only accept bankrollmob members who have a set amount of posts in the forums. this way you know that the freeroll money is going to genuine brm members and not pw thieves.
would this be a viable solution or is it just more work for you guys to do? i know you do alot already and i really appreciate it, but thought this would benefit both the members and the site as a whole.
what do you and the rest of the members think? thanks for reading.

It's a lot of work and there's also a limit as to how many members can be in a club. Also, I don't even think we are allowed to have a club, I believe it's for personal use only.

yes this would be a good idea cause then players outside of bankroll mob wouldnt be able to play ,, players who are able to play should recieve a ticket for being active on the site and in the forums just to play...

Mreid, it would definitely work but as admin stated above, it would be labour intensive and problematic. Counting posts to see who qualified would be tedious and then the email complaints if some one got missed or couldn't resigter . . . Passwords are simple and effective, they're here to stay.

Even if that was a way i think at the end they would have to give the members that qualified through posts the password for the tournament. Which is another problem and another added task for BRM.

thats not the way i was meaning it to happen. i meant that you needed a minimum amount of posts to join the club initially. then you get the password normally. just how you do now, but obviously only people who are in the club can register for the freerolls. i didnt mean that everytime there is a freeroll admin have to count posts to see who can enter, that would just be obsurd. dont really matter now tho its not going to happen.

I'm afraid that even if we require people to have 20 posts in order to get the password, we are going to see: * lots of spam in the forum so people can reach the required posts. and/or * someone with 20+ posts will still leak the passwords to password thieves sites.

It seemed a nice idea but after Reading admin’s answer we once again return to the same starting point. Even if there was a club, it probably wouldn’t be possible to get there all BRM members (we are a lot)! I think it wouldn’t be needed to count posts, as the only condition would be to be a member. The entrance in the club would be the most complex. The one responsible for the admittance of new members to the club would have to be able to see if the data was confirmed in BRM site.
