Well, I will sure as hell don't forget this one! I was sitting there on the very first hand of a $15 tournament. I hit pocket aced (AA) and I make a small raise. Three guys call.
The flop: Ad, Ac, Td
I was last to act. I had made four of a kind on the flop, a dreamstart to r this tournament! One guy comes out firing, one calls and one fold. I decided that with the straight and the flush draw, I could easily get payed off by this aggressive player so I just call. Then the turn comes up:
The turn: Kd
The first guy goes all-in. The second one folds. I with my four aces had no way of walking away from this hand so I called.
I showed my pocket aces and he shows Jd, 2d. I really couldn't believe how he could be that aggressive with that hand.
Anyway, here comes the river: Qd
I was like "WHAT THE F**K JUST HAPPENED!?!?"
To sum it all up: I hit four aces on the flop, that fish with J2 suited kicked my ass by hitting a royal flush

Yeah you're right! That's why I lowered my stakes a bit again. I'm a student so I can't afford to play at that level and keep getting bad beats so atm, I'm gonna stick to my $3-6 tournaments

Yeah, and the thing is that I really was on a good run! And well, I didn't play my best but it still was my worse beat ever. I mean come on, how many people can say that they've lost after flopping four aces? It feels like a hand that you just can't loose...

I really think you just kidding, that's like happen at Hongkong film, lol. Anyway really bad luck, I will play the same, want trap him and hope he get flush. Royal flush back to trap us, that's accident, rare happen. Sometimes play higher level needed to built our bankroll, just play at same level for long term will not built good. but should be at good condition not anytime we like, just my opinion.

Well it was a bad beat for sure but if you have made a big raise preflop or went all in i doubt he would follow with J2 suited in a 15$ buy in tournament. Its a hand that can boost your stack and you play it like that? Anyways better luck next time

Thats sure that s**t happens . Even if you play the hand (AA) the other way no one can assure you that you will win. Its the best hand to start off, but it will need to be the best hand after river too No doubt that you will lose more times with aces, but you will need to hang on there.

ahh well at least you have something to tell your friends about yep it's pretty sick, but it happens- and all those who advice to go all in preflop or go with a big raise- no matter what you do- you will get burned in one way or another- i.e. go all in with aa, dude calls with kk- flops set raise big with aa, someone calls with ak- flops qj10 - point here is simple- in poker you will always have bad beats, the goal is to make more money when you are doing well....

Ha ha ha!
Man it's a shame that bad beat had to go down on a tournament and not a a cash table. A lot of sites have some pretty crazy bad beat pots and it would've made for a pretty crazy story. I've always though it would be fun to be happy about losing that badly.
