As many of you have said, a small raise pre-flop was a mistake but as I've said before, my nerves just got the best of me. At a smaller stakes game I would have made a big raise. But I wouldn't go all-in unless forced to. There's no point in risking the whole tournament on the very first hand unless you absolutely have to. And well, getting forced into an all-in with AA, let's just say that it would take a mooron to walk away from that hand pre-flop.

Hi guys!!

Sorry, erru9107 but you are wrong. You can risk the MTT in the first hand with AA. I say more you MUST do it. If you can go allin preflop with AA, why not? I better than play a 4handed hand with only a pair.

I was Reading and i was guessing he had JQd on his hand, but J2d??? He must be covered in a blank powder that makes him think another way… $15 can be peanuts, that I understand, but I can’t believe he noticed what you could have in your hand, he saw three diamonds and he must have thought the only card that could win him would be the Qd so the best move would be all-in. And only when he saw your hand and, after that, the Qd at the table, only at that time he realized the importance of that hand. Btw, this is a “real” bad beat, didn’t you got any prize from the room where this happened? Or bad beat bonus are only payed at ring tables?

When a LAG gets this hand in position ...it's a 3bet/shove. I'm not surprised to see the shove after the turn...they're protecting their hand....the probability of quads in this spot and hitting a royal are low. If you intended to trap then this time it didn't work. Looks like a nasty dose of variance.

Sorry I'm posting so late, I've had a lot on my plate lately.

Anyways, I did not get any bonus for this since it was in a tournament. I only play at PartyPoker (for some reason I like that poker room more then all the others and I don't have the time nor feel the need to play in more then one room) and the only way to get bad beat bonus is if you're playing at a special bad beat cashgame table.

Well, in any case, I do realize it was a bad play on my part but as I've said before, my nerves got the best of me but I've learned from my mistake and I never play higher stakes then I can afford and that doesn't make my nerves go crazy if I hit a nice hand! Oh well, you learn from your mistakes Tongue
